That was a brick fest by both of them. Both their teams showed up.

I don't ever want to hear Jokic has any help. This is like the 3rd or 4th poor game by his standards he's played and the team has shown up .

The teams is ass, MPJ is garbage, murray is a bum and braun can't shoot with mid defense that gets exposed every playoff and can't play how he does in the regular season the bench is **** D-league. The only great player is Gordon, but he is that derrick white mold where the are crucial but no stars..
Give Jokic anywhere near the help the Lediddy and steph have had and see what happends. Y'all better pray we don't get KD in a trade becuase it's gonna be over when he gets a real second star.

Kobe could get in the post at 17 years old. Kids these days have just the faceup.
Perhaps I'm biased due to my age, but I don't recall Michael Jordan ever playing as miserably as SGA played today.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

OKC should have went to JDUBB last possession they would have won this game. Dags is a moron. He went to SGA who is ice cold. I said that out loud I will coach this team

I said it like 5 pages ago. I know OKC fans want to stick with their home grown team but you trade for Giannis and you own the league for the next 5 years.

The spacing would be horrible OKC would need a stretch 5 that can defend and those do not grow on trees.

I think they are better off sticking with this team. They have the age advantage so there is no need to panic

Unfortunately not because every team goes all in on analytics. And a 3 or a point blank layup or dunk is still the best shot according to analytics.

I think Thunder's and Daignault's inexperience is showing. On the otherside, Adelmann has done an incredible job for a rookie HC. This Denver defense late 4th and in OT, taking away EVERYTHING OKC wanted to do, was amazing. He had the least amount of talent at his disposal in this game, and he made every last drop of talent they had work on both ends. Murray and AG's games were superb but the coaching has been outstanding.

They're too battle tested. Playing close grueling series with the Lakers/clippers/wolves/etc over the years. They've seen it all. I'm not confident that they will come out ahead either but Thunder isn't winning the series unless they play each game like it's a game 7? Like against the Mavs last season its a dogfight.

Thunder got too predictable with their ISOs late game and their plays never changed. Denver had the perfect defense set up for it and that was the end of the story for this game. It's like Daignault had no other game plan other than the same ISO plays.

I mean Shai could have passed it..

Experience matters
If you win a bunch or regular season games and continue to lose in the first and second round, you need to re evaluate the roster and the coach
Giannis is gettable for them

Minnesota/Denver was the real Finals last year, don’t you remember?

You should worry more bout my squad puting you in a 3-0 hole tomorrow. Hell of a game tonight but SGA was Brutal and Denver tightened up defensively in the 4th and OT.

Celtics would never go down in 0-3 hole

HOT take: This is a better win than the Thunder’s 40pt win. This will get into their heads knowing if the game is close they can’t stop us in the clutch

they were trading like Hagler/Hearns back in the day. that was playoff basketball. 42 big time minutes from MPJ.

From now on, all Nuggets players must live in bball courts like Gordon because damn he shows you what practice makes perfect really means.

This is the season we win a ring for Westbrook. Brodie has been through so much and he deserves a ring.

ISO ball late is a choice. As is 3 shots for Hartenstein but ok...

The Nuggets’ defense has been picking its poison, leaving Dort and Caruso open from three, which turned out to be a bad gamble, while conceding floaters to Hartenstein, which was a good bet.

Bro Gordon is such an incredible basketball player. We talk about championship role players like Horry, Iggy, Battier, Rodman, ect and this guys name needs to be added to that list. His IQ and ability to come through when it matters most has been breath taking so far since going to DEN.

All the Chokic takes in the 4th, yall looked dumb, that man literally controlled OT every single play, out executed the Thunder, and made every big play he needed to including that ridiculous floater.

Murray is a DAWG, one of the funnest players to watch in the two man game, and it's a shame he's always hurt. Him and Jokic's two man game is this gens Stockton to Malone.

Love Russ going HAM in the timeouts trying to hype his boys up, that's also why you bring him him.

Shai was very very (very) underwhelming this game. Again, experience matters, and Shai looked like Tatum out there just hoping for a whistle and jacking it up when he doesn't get one. He was not effective playing in the half court in that last stretch, and was waiting way to long to get into his actions, nor was he using his screens properly. Very Tatum like.

Chet is getting massively disrespected here. People saying he has Wemby potential are only looking at how he plays off of Shai. Maybe he could get there if he was able to figure it out on the Wizards, but on OKC he doesn't have that shot on offense. Nuggets should not be hiding Murray and MPJ on him all game. He had a nice statline, but dude was a ghost in the 4th and OT. Again, Thunder need to get into their actions quicker, and allow him to abuse that height and skill advantage.

Overall that was a fun game, with a lot of big shots, and I can't wait to see if DEN can do it again. I expect Jokic to have a much better game he knows 3-1 will give them some much needed wiggle room.

Only thing people can whine about really is SGA's FT's, other than that it's difficult to hate on them

Dort is both a fouler and a flopper. No disrespect to him; if he gets away with it, he should do it.

But Denver's defense was set up for his ISOs. Did you watch the game? There were 2-3 guys waiting for him when he drives in. And Daignault kept running the same play over and over again. Till they lost.
