Lakers missed out on literally every big time free agent in years past. Patience paid off, however, as they land the biggest possible fish in the free agent market.

The team as currently constructed isn't much better than the Cavs. They will have to trade for Leonard. Even then, they don't make it past the Warriors. Too many question marks on that roster.

I do like the KCP signing. He's shown flashes, and he's your prototypical 3 & D shooting guard.

It’s funny how you think a team can compete via free agency with a team that drafted three all stars and got lucky cap wise so they could sign a second MVP caliber level player.

I said his surrounding talent in LA is better then what he's leaving in Cleveland. That's what I said. Anyone that would've given the Cavs a chance to knock off Houston in the Finals should also give the Lakers a chance against Houston simply based on the better supporting cast. If that doesnt pertain to you then it doesnt apply but yet still no where did I say compete with GS this year. I just personally dont think losing to them in the Finals with a lesser roster is so much better then losing to them in the 2nd round when theres room for the young guys to potentially grow into something more

He's not walking into a bad situation by any measure which was pretty much my point and then brought up having to go through GS and Houston now as if it matters what round he loses in. He's in a better situation now plain and simple

Also that cap space opens back up in a year

They are clearly going for high energy guys. The guys they have got and all the guys they went after are all athletic energy guys (JaVale, Lance, A Gordon, Capela, KCP, Kawhi).

I think they will run full court sets primarily through Lonzo and half court sets primarily through LeBron. Using both their strengths.

I expect Jeff Green to sign as well. I'm sure they'd love to get Beverley and Harrell if they could as well but that seems unlikely.
