I am fine with no technicals there, but be consistent. It seems cowardly to look the other way on what would normally be double technicals just because 1 guy would be ejected.

Also, the implication if Steve Javy's statement that officials take into account whether a player will be ejected is that players with 5 fouls can get away with fouls because officials don't want to eject them.

I guess I mixed my metaphors a bit there but yeah it’s for sure a thing in chess. If your opponent can rattle you, then you’re not gonna be sharp enough to win.

Nah that's just a classic game thread, one side always complaining about the refs (been guilty myself).

Green fell off ever since GS acquired Durant. He used to be above average offensively while playing DPOY caliber defense

Boston.

11 turnovers, 38.6% shooting. They are only down 2. Like this position .

Tatum and White are now collectively 3-15 from 2, but 7-10 from 3.

Is there a chess version of Bring It On? With lots of funny trash talk? I'd watch that.

I'm feeling a nice Draymond Flagrant coming at some point in the second half.

You can argue though a good amount of them are forced because they're coming off when Boston tries to attack. The real only offense Boston has gotten consistently has been from 3 pointers. That's not a sustainable way to stay in a game. You need points in the paint, it seems like the Warriors have watched a lot of film from Miami on what to do to the Celtics whenever they decide to drive and kick or dish into the paint.

I back this take 100%

Overall great defensive intensity from both. On most drives GSW gets the pick and BOS makes them miss every layup.

At least it’s interesting I suppose.

Obvious question I guaranteed would be asked when you overrate someone .
What happened to Al Horford?
Fmvp front runner ?
Him being a top player in this series not aging well and clear case of prisoner of moment bias

2 clear paths not called for GSW.

Plus the numerous terrible calls going against Boston initially.

Why are they never held accountable by the NBA?
It's called a union. The NBA should be fine with firing a ref, in game, but just like any other union, firing a terrible employee is a nightmare.

You guys have been watching this league too long to think officials are out there just doing what they want. They call games this way because the league instructs them to do so.

I was watching an interview Donaghy the other day he did with Rasheed and Bonzi. He straight up said the league always sends the refs a memo before games on what to do. According to him the memo are vague but will say for example "Keep any eye on player x he tends to travel or player Z hacks too much start calling fouls on him for hacking."

We gotta get something from Klay and Poole.

And hopefully Boston stops hitting every 3-pointer.

If Klay and Poole wake up, the Warriors can cruise here. Honestly though I have to credit Boston's defense on both guys, they're *really* making it tougher than pretty much any team they've faced all year on both guys. Still though I think one or both guys get going, this will be a W for the Warriors. Might just take till the 4th for them to figure something out.
