I actualy felt better about the reffing when the difference was 20pts cause it didn't feel like it cost the Lakers the game.

But now... yuck

Boston always does this now when they get a big lead, they go to sleep and the other team powers back, they clamp down and close it. Nothing to see here.

whew.

LA got a lot of momentum in that fourth quarter. Still, Kome's horrible play in the third/first half made this a 0-2 LA.

Tackle = foul

I keep thinking of the Mr. Ed song...

A foul is a foul, of course, of course, But no one can foul in the last two minutes of the game That is, of course, unless the foul is on the famous Mr. Wade.

Kobe didn't play that bad in really any part of this game. The Celtics just did a great job making him work. And Vlad cannot guard Paul Pierce. Kobe is going to have to do it. And I am really getting tired of Kevin Garnett taking jumpshots.

Yeah, crunch time and KG zero touches and impact and Pierce plays as a go to guy...

Pierce is the Celtics MVP!

Boston's offensive lapses are really going to be a problem in LA. This game, they were firing on all cylinders and containing Kobe, but the Lakers still managed to dwindle the lead down to 2 points. This could be a serious issue. Pretty much everyone played well for the Celts including Ray Allen....shocker.

Or maybe refs not call fouls quick fouls so lakers can play defense without worrying about fouling out

Dude, I agree, the officials were absolutly horrible in the 1st half. However, the Lakers played horrible D. PP and others had a ton of wide open shots and their is no excuse for that Powe dunk. They played bad D.

Lakers need to win 4 of next 5.

If they lose any one of the next three at home, then they win BOTH game six and seven in Boston.

I'm thinking the Cs are in very good shape because Garnett didn't have a great game, and that kid Powe catches everything inside. He's going to get his again within the next three games.
Bye bye Beal.

Sasha has been non existent this game. We need to see more of him for LA to have a chance. Phil has been subbing in luke as 6 man before sasha and reducing his minutes. His 3 point shooting off the bench is one of the main reasons we got this far.
