LeBron really had no chance..Durant's averaged 36 over his last 9 games

Durant is flat out the best scorer since Jordan and he's only 21..if you watched the game tonight you could see why

A very impressive scoring season by Durant. Not only scored he the most points, but his scoring efficiency is really impressive as well. Before the season I said that I can see Durant scoring 30 ppg on 50/40/90 at some point in his career. This season he has 30.2 ppg 48/36/90.

38.5 ppg over the 4 games he sat out. I would say James had a chance, if he would have pushed it. In 2006 he had a 9 game stretch with 38.6 ppg (the Cavs went 8-1 in those 9 games). In 2008 he had a 4 game stretch with 41 ppg (3-1 record). Saying that James had no chance is bs.

It was 34.9 ppg over those 9 games. Which is impressive alone. No idea why you need to increase that to 36. Not the first time that you exaggerated numbers for Durant.

Hell of a season from Durant. Extremely impressive. Here's to a long and interesting playoff series for OKC.

Congrats Durant and OKC fans. My second favorite team, but damn, do they need new uniforms. Give these kids some style.

Umm, I would rather have Melo scoring for me, and people forget at the same age as Durant Lebron averaged 31.4 points on a higher shooting percentage, all while taking less freethrows. Yes Durant is a good scorer, but look at it in perspective. He still needs to improve his post game and his mid-range J, which statistically is horrible.

Anyway, congratulations Durant, going to be one of the top scorers in the league for many more years!

LOL, LeBron did NOT shoot higher percentages and never has.

LeBron averaged 31.4 while taking 23.1 FGA per game 48/34/74
Durant just averaged 30.1 on 20.3 FGA 48/37/90

LeBron had a TS% of 56.4%
Durant had a TS% of 60.7%

Only 4 other players in NBA history have averaged 30+ ppg with a TS>60% in a season
Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, and Adrian Dantley. Durant is the 5th to join the group and by far the youngest at 21; Kareem was 24.

LeBron until this year had never had a season anywhere close the efficiency Durant displayed this season and this year he still trailed him by .3%.

Best player in the league in 5 years.
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

To be precise James had indeed the higher shooting percentage. He made 48% of his shots, while Durant "only" 47.6%. ;)

Anyway, scoring efficiency (in that case TS%) matters more. 21 yr Durant beats out 21yr James in terms of scoring efficiency.

He said percentages meaning plural not singular..../facepalm
This would imply FG/3P/FT

Anyway, scoring efficiency (in that case TS%) matters more. 21 yr Durant beats out 19,20,21,22,23,24,25 yr James in terms of scoring efficiency.
