He's only 21 but I don't see how it can get much better than this. Even if he shot the three the way he did last year it's only a marginal increase.

He'll probably have to learn to score better without getting to the line.. other than that he's such a complete scorer already. Amazing year.

To be precise James had indeed the higher shooting percentage. He made 48% of his shots, while Durant "only" 47.6%. ;)

Anyway, scoring efficiency (in that case TS%) matters more. 21 yr Durant beats out 21yr James in terms of scoring efficiency.

He said percentages meaning plural not singular..../facepalm
This would imply FG/3P/FT

Do you feel the need to ruin every Kevin Durant thread? Can we have one where we just celebrate what he's done and not fight over his TS%? We get it...

Seriously? WTF?

Hobo4President wrote:Umm, I would rather have Melo scoring for me, and people forget at the same age as Durant Lebron averaged 31.4 points on a higher shooting percentage, all while taking less freethrows.

He wrote percentage meaning singular. ;)

Playoffs are a different atmosphere, I wanna see if he can step up and average 30 assuming Lakers play hard D.

Wow. That didn't sound totally arrogant.

Awesome for Durant. I'm happy for him because he's a humble, respectable player.

I don't think he will be able to. Putting Ron Artest on him while also making him play defense will put that average down slightly. I mean he can get his 30 ppg or higher, I just think it'll be as efficient in the playoffs against the Lakers.

Too bad they went 3-4 down the stretch when he started his chuckfest to get the title

Enjoy your scoring title, it'll go nice with first round exit trophy from the Lakers

2.8 assists woo!

durant is gunna be great but he'll never be a nightly triple double threat like LBJ. Let's not kid ourselves, he's never gunna be #1, although he's already better than kobe ever was.

Kobe averaged 30/7/6/2/1 along with 1st Team All-Defense at the beginning of his prime. Durant is not there yet.
