It can't be anyone other than Hedo Turkoglu. Colangelo messed that one up so bad. I'm betting Portland are exceptionally relieved Turk screwed them.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Best bargin signing was Barnes.

Jason Williams was a very good minimum pickup for the Magic as well. And more surprising then Barnes.

I bet I would be a better coach than Triano and I am not exaggerating. (so would most of you...) Jose is getting paid very close to Hedo and Bargnani but produces so little, it is unbelievable. I am sure I'm gonna be hanged down a tree soon as the majority here are Hispanics.

Even if this is the reason why Turk is struggling due to the players he plays with and his incompetent coach, didnt you expect a bit more out of him when he was signed? Its not like he only started sucking when Toronto have started losing, he's been pretty bad from day one.

His season's a disappointment definitely and he's the logical answer to this question (biggest FA bust), but imo they didn't use him right. He should play with an off the ball point guard, like LeBron James. If you're gonna pay a guy $10M per you might as well use his strengths.

Yeah, most people kind of saw this coming for him once he left the Lakers, though I still think he can be one of the best roleplayers in the league. There's just no way you can expect him to carry a team.

I say Hedo for the price, thank GOD he decided against Portland.

Turkoglu because he was supposed to take the raps to next level after impressive playoffs run the past year.

Instead he was half assing it and playing crap and T.O. missed the playoffs. Not to mention the $55 million he got.

This is definitely Turkoglu. What a steaming pile of dog poo.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure every Magic fan has been shocked at how well Williams has played for us this season. He's been awesome.

Piston's signings haven't been great, but if your going to bring up bargains then you have to consider Ben Wallace.

Turk's %s are almost identical to his Orlando years, and his rebounding rate/block rate all improved. His usage was way down and his role was different. The expectations were probably way too high and his fit with Bargnani and Calderon were extremely questionable, plus he had some off-court incidents that got the press and fans against him. Plus he seemed way too content not taking on a leadership role and just shrugging his shoulders when things weren't going well. I think of a bust as someone who 1) made the team worse (Toronto improved) or 2) had a significant drop in #s.

I thought we were talking about failures, not good finds (albeit I agree with the Ben Wallace and Jason Williams nominations of good finds).

T U R K was useless. he didnt lose his skills, he was just a terrible fit.

said it on day of signing that there is no way u would sign turk wen u got a replica of him in bargnani (as in a white big shooting Jumpers) and a ball dominant point guard/powerforward.

turk was good in orlando cuz he had ball in his hands often.

Colangelo is extremely overrated if he cannot see that Turk was terrible fit, and this isnt me looking back and seeing it 20/20, this was so obvious. Like, i would love to see how colangelo's thought process was? Get another big that shoot from to spread the D? not at 50m

baron12k wrote:Has to be Turkoglu with all the hype he had when Toronto signed him. Im sure Toronto fans expected a lot more out of him and that he was going to have them at least fighting for a top four seed in the east standings. While Ariza and Gordon where never signed in hopes that they were going to make there teams all that much better. So it has to be Turkoglu

He didn't have many skills to begin with. The guy is a career bench player, with only 2 slightly above-average seasons in Orlando where his limited skills were maximized.

Turk, but he's only really a bust to those who thought he was worth it. He's given hope to Heat fans all year, just as we expected him too
