Using the NBA seven game format, but in an NCAA tournament style seeding. How does it play out and do you like this format better than the current? There's probably a flaw with the 6-8 seeds and 9-12 seeds having the same records but this is what it could look like for our playoffs this year.
1. Cleveland
16. Houston
8. Utah
9. Boston
4. Dallas
13. Miami
5. Phoenix
12. Oklahoma City
3. LA Lakers
14. Milwaukee
6. Atlanta
11. San Antonio
7. Denver
10. Portland
2. Orlando
15. Charlotte

Re: NBA Bracketology
Memphis at 10 games out of the playoffs in the West would be only a half game out East.
So much better than the current system IMO. The only thing about this system that could be a problem IMO is travel time. I think it's over-rated though considering you can get from LA to NY in 4-5 hours I believe. It's not like these guys are flying on economy class either, and the spacing between playoff games is reasonable.
