I would definitely beat the over for the Nuggets. I don't believe that Carmelo is getting traded. 43.5 wins is way too low for a team with Anthony on it.

Doesn't matter if he's getting traded or not. That team is going to have severe chemistry concerns with many of its vital clog sulking. JR Smith, Carmelo, Kenyon Martin are all *****ing. Save your money.

Losing Amare plus playing small forwards as bigs but we'll see (bad preseason doesn't help)

I'd go under on raptors

I know I sound like a homer, but I'd take a piece of Utah getting 50+ wins this season.

My lock is Philly under 35.5. I would go under 25 for them.

I'd agree with that based on how they've looked in pre-season. Elton Brand remains awful and Evan Turner and Igoudala play the same style of game.

It's weird because on an individual basis there are a lot of decent players on that team. Igoudala, Holiday, Williams, Young, Turner, Hawes. All of them are pretty decent pieces, but they don't seem to a team that will fit together.

You nailed it. Individual talent that's a DISASTER together... not unlike last year's Nets. There's no 3pt shooting on the team, all the perimeter guys need the ball. They don't have a real center anymore. They just hired their 4th coach in 4 years and along with Detroit are the biggest chemistry bomb in the league. This is a team who will go down 10 points and stop giving a ****, stop defending, and stop rebounding. Once they lose 6-7 games in a row the effort level will die. The home crowd sucks.

I think Philly could be the worst team in the league...

Atlanta Hawks Over 46.5 (-115) - Fade starts, but it's slow at first
Washington Wizards Under 33 - Wall doesn't help win a huge amount as a rookie + post rotation poor
Charlotte BobCats Over 39 - Grind out wins with D
Chicago Bulls Over 47
Cleveland Cavaliers Under 29.5
Dallas Mavericks Under 50.5 not as good as their W/L record last year and getting old
Denver Nuggets Under 43.5
Detroit Pistons Under 31.5 (-115) - slow rebuild
Golden State Warriors Over 32 Hurt future for a run at 35-40 wins, and gets them
Houston Rockets Over 47.5
Indiana Pacers Over 34.5 could go either way
Los Angeles Clippers Under 37 too much bad Baron
Los Angeles Lakers Under 57 also getting old
Memphis Grizzlies Over 38.5 should be well over
Miami Heat Over 64.5
Milwaukee Bucks Under 46
Minnesota T-Wolves Under 23.5
New Jersey Nets Over 25.5 (-115) only if Devon Harris remembers how to play
New Orleans Hornets Over 41
New York Knicks Over 36
Oklahoma City Thunder Over 52
Orlando Magic Over 56
Philadelphia 76ers Under 35.5
Phoenix Suns Under 41.5 Hedu suck is strong, but still might eek out a 42-44 wins
Portland Blazers Over 51.5
Sacramento Kings Over 28.5
San Antonio Spurs Over 50.5 Splitter stalls the decay, and Parker gets healthy
Toronto Raptors Under 26.5
Utah Jazz Over 49

I'd go with Orlando OVER 56. They've posted back-to-back 59-win seasons and there's nothing to suggest that the team has declined. If anything, all signs are pointing to them playing BETTER. The worst part about this upcoming season is that arguably the best team in the league is in the same division and they'll face each other 4 times but that hardly has any bearing on the Magic's overall regular season record. I think Orlando wins 61.

My picks:

Atlanta 46.5 - Under: Classic 'they had a bad coach, but firing him killed their continuity and took the wheels off' team, IMO. Toronto, Philadelphia, Washington have learned this the hard way lately. I think they perform like you'd expect a Joe Johnson team to do this year: Mediocrity

Washington Wizards 33 - Perimeter is good, interior is really bad. Weak d/rebounding = Ls.

Charlotte Bobcats 39 - Over. Dominant defense is enough to get over 40 in East. But watch out for GWallace injury

Chicago Bulls 47 - Over. Think they'll also dominate defensively. They play the right way

Cleveland 29.5 - Under. Offense is far too poor.

Dallas 50.5 - Over, they always win 50+

Denver 43.5 - Under, I think Melo's gone soon

Detroit 31.5 - Under, this is my 2nd favorite bet after Philly. Bet against bad fit and chemistry.

Golden State 32 - Over, Curry seems like a Roy presence who will turn the franchise around

Houston 47.5 - Under, they'll have a season like last year

Indiana 34.5 Under - Not having a PF kills. Also love this bet.

Clippers 37 Over - How many 37+ seasons have the Clippers had? Still though, on paper they should be better

Lakers 57 Under - Fell off last year, will fall off some more. I think Kobe's minutes catches up to him this year

Memphis 38.5 - Wheels fall off this year IMO

Miami 64.5 - Under. They don't have the dominant hunger to crush the regular seaosn

Milwaukee 46 - Under. Drew Gooden and Maggette go against everything that made them work last year

New Jersey 25.5 Over - Think they're more like low 30s

New Orleans 41 Over - Hornets last year won 49. Paul can carry them there himself. Only worry is if he gets traded but I love this over

Knicks 36 Over - Just over. Enough offense + big year for Amare

Oklahoma City 52 Over - Think they could be league's best team

Orlando 56 - Over - Won 59 last year, see no reason for them to drop

Philadelphia 35.5 Under - By far my favorite bet. Easy money. Philly sucks.

Phoenix Suns 41.5 Over - Only because their offense will be that good

Portland 51.5 Over - Think they could be a #1 seed this year

Sacramento 28.5 Over - Love the over. Two guys who command double teams, lots of good role players

Spurs 50.5 Over - Splitter should take them to mid 50s again

Raptors 26.5 Under - Trust me, we suck

Jazz 49 Over - Love this bet. Jazz should be at 50 as usual.

Celtics 53.5 Over - Think they're in for a monster year
