What is this thread suppose to prove, that Dirk isn't a choke artist?

The reason why everyone says that is because this isn't the first time they played a great regular season. Wasn't it last season where they went on a long winning streak after they traded and got Haywood, then got upset in the 1st round by the Spurs?

And wasnt it in 2007 when Golden State upset Mavericks (1st place seed vs 8th place seed)?

And the year before that, Dallas blew a 2-0 lead vs the Heat, and lost 4 straight to lose in the championship.

I'll give you that Dirk is a great player, whether its playoff time or not, this is certain..But you can post all the game winner videos you want, the fact is a great regular season by Dirk and the Mavs, don't equal a championship. And this is why everyone is skeptical about Mavericks right now, even in this great win streak they have put together. History repeats itself.


To be fair, you can't put all the blame on Dirk, no. But as a leader of his team, its human nature to put the blame on him for poor result after good regular season. IMHO, i Think the Mavericks need another superstar, not just another "star player" like Kidd or Terry. They need someone on the superstar level, like a Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, etc.

I see no reason for this thread to continue.
