What is it with the Lakers and bad teams?

Post#1 » by DusterBuster » Tue Feb 15, 2011 8:07 am

Has anyone noticed that no matter how good the Lakers are, there always seem to be that one crappy team they just always struggle with.

I seem to remember when they Kobe/Shaq era was in full effect, the Lakers had a terrible time against the Sonics. Now apparently the Kobe/Pau era can't beat the Bobcats. Why is that?

the bobcats simply have their number on lock, and are capable of beating the lakers in a 7 game series

I don't remember exactly but the Bobcats have like a 14-2 record against LA or something in the last 5+ years.

Alternatively how can the Bobcats beat the likes of Lakers, Boston and Atlanta but continually lose to New Jersey.

The Bobcats had an excellent record against the Lebron Cavaliers last year, but got beaten by the Nets who had a HORRIBLE season. :dontknow:

the bobcats match up well defensively with the lakers this year... im not sure about the last 5+...

also im sure part of it has to do with the lakers taking them for granted..

-- Funny, but inappropriate. ~ MMadness --

I think we're the only team that can beat Boston and LA with scrubs but get our asses handed to us by New Jersey. KwaMVP gave Bynum the business and our reserves beat the World Champs.

If we had free passes to the NBA Finals each year, we'd have Adam Morrison's rings.

Spurs lost to the Clippers this year, haven't won in Philly in 4 years.

Boston lost to the Cavs and Wizards this year.

Lakers were on a B2B against a young team, it happens.

Good teams lose to bad teams on any given night, and there's always that one team that has your team's number.

And I honestly don't care what Laker fans say...I apologize if it sounds like a broken record, but it's still the same old crap slumps and struggles and losses every year and the Lakers STILL make the finals. I know it's frustrating but it's been a long time since your team has failed you. They have nothing to prove in the regular season.

We're 2-8 in the last 10 against them. Saw it coming. Nothing new. Damn you Bobcats

A trade is coming.

Two blowouts in a row, eight straight losing quarters...This is frustrating.

Yeah they definitely have our number, but since there's about 0 to 1% the current laker core will ever face them in the finals i'm not exactly fretting about it. I would take a50 pt loss twice a year to the bobcats if we won the ring each year it happened.

It's a conspiracy built up to prove that MJ is still better than Kobe.

maybe MJ knows how phil coaches the triangle too well and drops in the secrets for the bobcats ;) and maybe that's why scottie's blazers did so well versus the lakers too

There is a bigger target on the Lakers backs than on the uniforms of people who work at target.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Ron Artest shouldn't be taking more shots than Pau Gasol.

The Bulls have lost something like 13 of 15 games at the IZoid Center.

The Spurs have lost 6 straight to the 76ers at Philly.

Sometimes teams just have others numbers based on match-ups or pure coincidence.
