Mavericks Vegas winning streak at 42 days
The Dallas Mavericks haven’t lost a game against the spread in 42 days. The Mavericks extended their record ATS streak to 15 straight games last night. R.J. BELL of PREGAME.com points out thats the longest ATS win streak in the NBA, regular season OR playoffs, since at least 1995, as far back as reliable data exists. The odds are 32,768 to 1 against a team winning 15 straight against the spread. The Mavs last lost against the Vegas wise guys 42 days ago on April 6, 2011. More amazing, 11 of the Mavs record ATS streak have been in the playoffs.

im not used to betting ... does it mean the mavs won the last games vegas bet they lose? 11 games in the PO ? thats like ... all games? i believe i understood that wrong

No, bets are based upon the line. The line is how many points betting sites think a team will win or lose by. So if the line says the Mavs will lose by 5, but they only lose by 3, the Mavs beat the line and "won". Likewise, if the line says the Mavs will win by 4 and they actually win by 6, they again beat the line and "won". So, basically, when the Mavs have lost, it's been closer than the casinos have thought they would, and when they've won it's been by more than they thought they would, for 15 straight games.
