He mentions it was silly of the Heat to think coming together would guarantee them a ring so early. He says that he, john Stockton, and Karl Malone were all good players that never won and there's a reason for that. Winning in the NBA is not easy or guaranteed and it was foolish of them to think otherwise.

And we got to see Carlisle actually crack a smile!

It's so wierd... cuz he never smiles.

Really, Carlisle did an awesome job adjusting every series, where Dallas started off having a tough time against Heat/Blazers/Thunder/ even the Lakers, until by the end of every series Dallas just looked like the alpha dog and owned the opposition, made them bitch. That's a testament to great coaching and coachable smart team-first players.

Actually, on closer inspection I have to take that back. I didn't realize how massive that bottle is with Dirk holding it. It looks like the "Midas" that holds 40 of those regular $250 bottles and was apparently sold for $100,000 in Vegas:

$10,000 would make more sense, but I guess if you have money to burn...

Yeah, two players who did nothing but hurt their own teams this series :lol:

But at least Peja was critical for the mavs in getting to the finals, he def deserves this.
