Jordan's earnings, with endorsements included, easily passes any of these guys.

Those numbers are truly preposterous(and that includes KG and Shaq.) What do those guys need 300,000,000 for?

Good thing his shoe line puts Dampier to shame.

Adjusted for inflation it is probly closer. Obviously not close to KG and Shaq but still. But yeah through endorsements he killed it. And he lost like half in his divorce.

Apples and oranges due to salaries when they played.

Francisco Garcia probably made more this season than Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain did in there entire careers. Its not comparable unless you use inflation numbers.

Jordan has earned $800 million since he entered the NBA in 1984.
That was in 2009, probably around 850 million now

Jordan never needed the money. He played for 2-3 million/year for most of his career and gave his team a ton of cap space. Pippen and Kukoc were earning more than MJ.

As the league MVP in 1996 he made the equivalent of 9 million under today's salary cap (and 5.5 million by inflation). Journeyman centers are making that and more these days.

Magic and Jordan, who split MVPs from 87-91, each made around 2.5 million base salary in the year they faced each other in the Finals. That was about standard money for superstars, with a few bad contracts sprinkled throughout (eg: Hot Rod Williams earned 3.8 mill in 91). Only 5 yrs later, the owners began really losing their Fing minds. Even w/ Drexler. He made 1.6 mill in 1995 and 9.8 mill in 96.

They have families to feed, which can only be done with nine-figure career earnings

And I'm sure Joe Montana made more than Donovan McNabb.

Some fans don't even think.

They just post numbers like they're suppose to mean something on their own.
