That's not exactly a recipe for success.

Cmon.... thats not fair.

Gil in 06 was light years better then Francis ever was.

No, no, like I said "rich-man's."

I meant that he's a low-bball IQ player who chucks and over-dribbles the ball, is a 6'3 scoring guard who's called a "PG," etc, etc.

Arenas was CLEARLY a lot better than idiot mc-super-numpt, Steve Francis.

Kobe = most clutch player in the league (people just forgetting about the volume of shots he is putting up in crunchtime and the number of bricks)

Dirk got carried by all the great 3p shooter the Mavs had

Morey is god and the Rockets have always "bad luck"

When a euro nbaer fails in nba " It's because of the nba coaches that don't know **** about basketball and don't let him play like the franchise player he is".

The other day someone on here said that Wall has trouble scoring because he doesn't have a quick enough first step.

well since scottie considers himself a fan now, "lebron GOAT of all time"

and as much as i like sir charles, "kobe> kareem" due to the fact that Mj is the goat and kobe is the closest thing to MJ, Lol by this logic i could say Dirk is top 10 ever due to the fact that hes the closest thing to Bird

That potential is going to become reality sooner rather than later. He is 23 years old. All the pieces have been put together for him to show out this season.
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.

Dude, live in the now.

OJ Mayo took the fourth-most shots on the Grizz last year. He's not going to shoot a lot more than that the next time they play and he's not going to magically become a better ball-handler/playmaker, nor is he auto-magically going to turn into the primary ball-handler as long as Conley's around. He's not even STARTING anymore. He's a sound rotation player who can shoot from range and D up a bit, handle just enough to make himself a useful player. He's not a superstar, nor does he have the potential, no matter what his hairline looks like.

He is not going to be a superstar, dude. He can be a good player...but superstar? No. There are VERY few superstars in the game.

There is a fine line between being a fan of a player and obsessing over a player.

Kobe would have no problem being defended by GP the way Jordan was the later part of the series. Where Jordan put up 5 of 19 and 6 of 19.

D-31 wrote:Anyone who didn't buy into NBA marketing knows the league was softened for Jordan to win rings.

D-31 wrote:Kobe was younger just like Pippen was younger. If Jordan was younger he wouldn't have had the luxury of being as selfish as he was. Jordan had the luxury of playing with a top 50 player all time. Shaq had the luxury of a sidekick. Kobe has won two without a great sidekick which already proves he's better than Jordan.

Jordan's whining and failures directly led to the softening of rules. Just like the NFL softened rules for Peyton Manning. Everyone knows this.

This actually is a statement with quantifiable evidence behind it. You may disagree, and it's certainly contestable, but it's far from the dumbest thing an NBA fan has said.

+1000

Not that I agree that Rose is the best defensive point guard (def top 3-5), but statistics show that he was the best last season. Not sure how it's the dumbest thing a NBA fan has ever said.

Lowry, Rondo, CP3, Westbrook, Kidd, Deron, even guys like Hinrich, Billups and Chalmers
