Not so sure about that. I would venture Toronto's global fanbase is much smaller than that of the Lakers, Knicks, or Celtics.

Most fans are from the Greater Toronto Area; the same reason the Leafs (one of 7 NHL teams) are the most valuable hockey franchise in the World, TFC (one of two and soon to be 3 MLS teams) is a leader despite being an absolute **** team. Toronto is a major sports city that's just suffering from really crappy teams right now; the Jays and Leafs have promise but we still have to see.

I doubt the average person in Yukon cares about the Raptors.



It is funny to see threads of trades/signings of non-raptor players have many more pages than on the forum of the teams involved in the transaction.
