VC is underrated on these forums..

SVG and PHX Alvin-Gentry didn't use him properly at all.

There's a reason why the MAGIC didn't win it all. SVG's set up of 4 guys on the perimeter and howard in the post was a fail tactic. you can't just keep dishing the ball to howard (who in my opinion isn't even as versatile as KG).

but yeah, i bet with proper implementation and coaching, Carter could reach that 20ppg still. He has an amazing Post game (still one of the best in the game). He can drive to the basket but doesn't have to dunk it, lay it up, etc.

VC's 3 point ability is effortless as well.

Jkidd with Vcarter trailing used to be so amazing. i can't wait to see this again.

oh and VC has been one of the most clutch players that i've seen. Wade/lebron etc dont even come close. I'd put VC second to Kobe for being clutch.

15 is retired for Dallas Mavs. Any number besides 15 just looks so awkward on him..

I agree with most of your post, though VC will likely be closer 15ppg. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a league leader in 3pts made.

However, Melo is the best clutch player in the league.

Honestly, even as a former Vince fanboy and still a solid fan, I question what he can still bring to the game. He was doing alright in Orlando but seems like he completely collapsed physically and mentality with Suns. Could be excuses by lack of motivation but entire NBA and Vince himself knew it was his contract year and by mailing it in he played himself out of few millions. I find that hard to comprehend. So either Vince doesn't care about money anymore and was slacking off with Suns or he is physically broken down to the point where he just couldn't perform at high level anymore. I'm actually eager to find out, there were no reports about any injuries so far, so no excuses this season if he can't even run down the floor.
