Sweet. The big problem would be though, why in the world would New Orleans want that deal?

Atlanta can use him, since they can shift Al Horford back to his natural position as PF and Josh Smith to SF.

Okafor is more as a PF than a center. We have Al Horford to play center than Okafor. We can take Kaman off your hands tho.

^^^ A lot of C are more 4's than 5's, yet still play the position.

Why is Okafor more of a PF? Is it because of his C sized standing reach, his large frame, or his lack of face up skills?

Okafor is a PF, if your C is Dirk, and he guards the PF for Emeka.

Saw someone post this:

S&T Rodney Stuckey for Emeka Okafor.

Not a bad idea though Stuckey may get slightly overpaid but the Pistons becoming the UConn Huskies is all worth it.

Wow. Completely forgot about the Rockets.

He's from Dallas so I'm sure he wouldn't mind being in Tx.

I disagree.

They've got expiring Kirk Hinrich (he'll be their starting PG) and maybe Zaza + pick gets it done imo.

What you think?

Okafor is actually from Houston, not Dallas.

I think he'd fit in great with the Blazers next to Aldridge and I think the Blazers could get him with just a straight up swap of Camby for Okafor, without adding Babbitt or 2nd rounders. That said, I'm wholeheartedly convinced the Blazers want nothing to do with Okafor's contract. They're being very careful not to take on any 2012 salary right now.

I think it is more like who takes Kaman off there hands. Kaman is a expiring and it would be smart for N.O. to flip him again. Okafor has 3 years left on his contract. He can play C but he is not ideal for a team like ATL.

I say send Hinrich expiring, Zaza, and a 2nd rd pick to N.O. for Kaman. N.O. could then flip Kirk somewhere else for a 1st and end up with. Zaza a 2nd and a 1st for a Kaman that you got as a salary matchup. That's a good flip considering Zaza expires next year.

New Jersey. With LA sure to get Dwight Howard, Nets know they need to get something back for him, so they trade with Hornets for Okafor

Nothing but long term bad contracts for a team rebuilding, considering you are over the cap you have to make salaries match and can't come up with 12 mill in good contracts.
