Knicks will have to find someone else to shoot corner 3s. As others are reporting, Shawne Williams has chosen the Nets over NY.

@KBergCBS Shawne Williams has agreed to sign with the Nets for the same two-year, $5M that the Knicks offered him, source confirms.

shocked NY didn't keep him, he fits right into their system....btw what happened to Outlaw, was he suppose to get amenstied?

He wasn't in a situation where he could take less money to return to the Knicks. Surprised he couldn't get a multi-year deal though, very surprised. I didn't know he finished the season at only 40% from 3, it must have been the increased work-load when our entire forward rotation was traded to Denver for Melo.

Like this signing for the Nets. Williams is a solid player and should start at SF for them.

Very surprised NYK wasn't able to keep him - he was arguably their best bench player as a reliable shooter, rebounder, and defender. Pretty athletic, too.

Good move for the Nets to add depth on the wing

Woj tweeted that the Nets are trying to close a deal with AK47 now...and the Nets also signed Ime Udoka. Outlaw is going to be amnestied any minute now.

Just edited the OP...Shawne Williams signed for a two year deal worth 5 mil...same deal the Knicks offered him.

damn..im gonna miss Purp. Dude was solid for us, but obviously chose the nets because he will get more playing time.

Can the Nets afford AK, Howard, and Deron?

If so that'd be a pretty solid trio.
