Not happening. Lakers are nothing outside of Kobe,Gasol and Bynum. They got the worst starting PG and SF in the league and the worst bench in the league. Unless they somehow find a Jeremy Lin in their bench they will never win a title with that roster.

Kobe can get every single longevity record, more titles than Bill freaking Russell, but in the end of the day, he's not better than Jordan. How many years was Kobe the best player in the NBA? Jordan was arguably the best player for about 10 years. Jordan only had 11 full seasons with the Bulls (not counting the 1985-86 season and 1994-95 return season), and he won 6 titles in them, as the best player on the Bulls and in the league. Kobe had 1-3 years at best as the best player in NBA, and I'm not sure how clear it ever was with him, while with Jordan by seasons end we all basically concluded he was the best. Had he not retired early twice, the man could have 7-10 titles, 6-8 MVPs, and so on. Don't understand how a little thing like the Lakers winning another title makes Kobe the GOAT. Where exactly do you have Kobe now that he would be jumping MJ, Russell, and KAJ, amongst others with just one title.

The 1995 Rockets were the lowest seed to win the NBA Championship (6th).

The low seed was due to players being traded away and Drexler coming over. It took a while for the chemistry to be perfected right as the playoffs started.

Odom is gone and they didn't get anything for him. The Lakers have no bench and they are looking to trade Gasol. They aren't going to get a player or players to take them to the championship. Arenas is their back up plan, and while he "might" be able to find his shot, he will not be able to find his mobility.
