I was laughed at in the first thread when I said the nuggets have a 75% chance of winning the series. Look where we are now...

I also said Kobe-Afflao should be a wash... I was wrong, lulz. I though kobe would hurt his team by chucking, but he has been the only decent Laker's player.

My other predictions were spot on. McGee and Faried had poor first games, but they improved to the point where they outplayed Bynum-gasol more than once. Depth is obviously favoring the Nuggets in game 7. the Lakers are tired

The impact of MWP's absence has been really magnified, both by how well he's been playing the last few weeks and also by how terrible Barnes and Ebanks have been in this series. If Metta hadn't been out, the Lakers would probably have swept Denver and gone into the OKC series with a completely different aura around them.

So LA would've swept Denver had they had Artest? Ok, well Denver would've swept LA if they had Chandler and Fernandez, who are both better than Ron '8 ppg on 39% shooting' Artest.

Well, Chandler is a better player than Metta, but we have quality replacement players. LA has jack ****.

If Bynum and Gasol can't bring it for a game 7 it will be a Nuggets win and a big new monkey(s) on the backs of both those guys. I'd say Bynum in particular since he was proclaimed to be a superstar and this has been his biggest chance to show what he's got and whether or not he can carry a team. So far color me unimpressed.

Should be interesting to see anyway. I think with their backs finally against the wall the Lakers will finally come together and close it out, but with LA you never know for sure.

As far as Metta World Peace, my guess is he'll be a non-factor for the most part. The Lakers should just hope that he doesn't hurt them. It is possible that he'll give them some energy and hustle plays that could potentially help the Lakers a lot, but you'd think rust would show.

Artest has sucked all season, and for the most part, hurt the Lakers more than he has helped. Sure, he had one good week before his jackass move, but I fail to see how he is single handedly worth three games in a playoff series. The effort they got from Ebanks was a big factor in winning game one.

The only way Artest would've made a bigger difference is if he got all butthurt and pissed off about being stomped on in game 6 and decided to throw a cheap shot at the smallest guy on our team, being Lawson, and knocking him out for tonight's game. Since, you know, that's apparently his style(Barea, Harden).

Ron's a difference maker whether people like it or not.... his defensive presence and intensity probably would of won them a game and ended the series. But not a sweep.

Barnes is decent, but Artest is and has always been better than him in a decreased role.

Hopefully he doesn't try to do too much, but plays balanced offensively

LAL's lack of solid depth is key to why this is such a long series - can't say depth doesn't mean much in the POs because it simply does.

I'm not even a Laker fan, and I know Artest hasn't sucked "all season long", he was inconsistent, but that doesn't equate to poor overall play. Ron, especially in a shortened season with a diff. summer to season cycle always takes a bit longer to get into shape and rhythm, not being a natural shooter and is a bigger guy naturally... he was better in the 2nd half of the season than the 1st, for sure.

Metta World Peace size will be a factor on Gallinari, who the Lakers have had trouble with or even Andre Miller who bullied poor Steve Blake in the post  .

The thing with having Metta back is that MB can't run his stupid 2 pg line up. If George Carl still wants to run his two PG lineup, Metta can easily punch them in the post with Barnes and Ebanks CANNOT do. His defensive effort will also be another key. People may want to say the guy sucks and all but in the 2nd half he was actually becoming a good player.

I have a feeling Denver are gonna pull this one out tonight. Seems there's too much disharmony within the Lakers camp right now. Denver are rolling and high on confidence, I'll say Denver by 5.

How bad does LA have to get humiliated before the fans stop being completely arrogant. The team just got its poop pushed in in game six and Gasol and Byum have been completely bitchified by the great Javale Mcgee but it would have been a sweep if only they had a backup mediocre over the hill headcase available.
