Not surprised. It is up to the Lakers on pulling the trigger

Would the Lakers do it without assurance of Howard? and would Bynum be willing to rebuild for 3-5 years.
Plus Orlando would need some assurance that Bynum would resign with them too.
Bynum as it is now is an expiring contract.

exactly...bynum is a free agent after this year as well and could just as easily walk...how funny would that be if both guys walked away at the end of the year

Bynum supposedly has no problem going to Orlando. Its Dwight that's the problem here.

IMO he will come around. But Lakers need to do more than just swapping the 2

I wouldn't take his word for it. Orlando should get some assurance directly from bynum before they make this trade.

Hope we pass on him. After his recent antics, I don't want Dwight in LA.
In reference to a Picture of Billy Hunter...

Bynum would love nothing more than being a number one option; no matter how good/bad the team is.

Bynum for Howard straight up without the Lakers taking also the bad contracts from Orlando--would seem to be the way to go unless you get assurance from either party.

I think Bynum would definitely stay in Orlando to get money, and he's the type of center you can actually build around. They actually could probably be a 4th seed next year if they bring back their same team plus Bynum. Bynum in an offense built around him, with 4 three point shooters--should work pretty well. Too bad they fired Stan Van.

For the Lakers--do you really need Dwight to commit long term? It's not like Bynum is really committing either. And the Laker window isn't that big anyways.

Plus I would be suprised if Dwight could really say no to the Lakers money and market once he actually gets there. He would have to go to Brooklyn for the MLE to get there. Or he could stay with the Lakers, get a max contract, play for a storied franchise, and be the man as Kobe fades away. And he could get into movies like Shaq did.

Adidas I would think would force him to stay there.

After going to Hollywood, I have no idea how or why Dwight would want to leave.
