Can Ike Diogu make his way back into the NBA?

Dude has been going ham in the Olympic qualifier. Was the 9th overall pick by GS in the 2005 draft after a great college career, but fizzled out in the NBA after being a journeyman throughout his career.

Don't remember him that much in the NBA, but from watching him right now, he looks like a strong body that can provide scoring, although he's slightly undersized. He'll be 29 when next season starts. Do y'all think a team will pick him up?

He DESTROYED Horford today. Diogu and Aminu carried Nigeria on their backs and willed them to the Olympics. Ike was amazing today.

Jonas Val destroyed Horford last game as well. Horford just isn't back to playing form after sitting out so long iwth injury. Ike Diougu is not an NBA caliber player.

I felt embarrassed for Horford. He was like the 6th best player in tonight's game.

I don't know if he could have been a legit NBA player, but I always felt bad for him, b/c it never seemed like he got any PT at any of his NBA stops, when even the biggest scrubs usually get a chance.

He's had numerous chances year after year to prove that he belongs in the NBA and he still hasn't convinced a team that he's an NBA player. A couple good FIBA games aren't going to change anything for Diogu.

He's injury plagued. Every time that he's had extended minutes, he has put up very good numbers.

San Antonio actually signed him last season and he looked terrible.

Totally out of shape, slow and not motivated at all. I think SA waived him after 10 days or something.

Very good is a stretch. Yes he played well at times, but his conditioning seems to be beyond terrible.

Yeah I think so. He has been playing well and I think he can translate his recent success to the NBA game. If any team picks him up its a steal and there is no harm in doing so.

Rooting for him.

Didn't he play well for the Kings? I remember him putting up some big games for them.

Yeh, I saw the interview he did after being picked up with us... terrible attitude. After I heard it, I asked myself why we had signed this guy. Needless to say, he was cut right after.
