Uhh, Nets are actually good

Post#1 » by Storm Surge » Wed Jul 11, 2012 10:16 pm

Real talk, they have an elite pg superstar level, an all star SG in joe Johnson, an above average starter in Gerald Wallace, a overhated but underrated banger pf in hump, and an above average center albeit overpaid.

They also have a strong bench, with Gerald Green and Mar$wag as well as the European dude.

50+ wins next year in the East.

Joe Johnson is only an all star because the SG position in the East is pathetic after Wade.

yea, they are good. I would say third best in the East

Some have gotten on Brook a lot lately to the point he has become severely underrated. He is a guy more than capable to put up 20 ppg. Not a great rebounder/defender I get that, but name 5 centers who could score like him .

we'll have to wait and see, but i can see the arguments they're the "new and improved hawks."
A team whose ceiling is probably the ECF but again you "never know."

I'd just like to see them play.

Are you the new Atlanta?

I'm guessing they're the 2nd best team in the East next year

CP3 couldn't lead Griffin and the Clips anywhere, I'm thinking Deron can't do anything with Joe "I'm awful in the playoffs" Johnson, G-Wallace and Lopez.

Now the games against the Knicks will be interesting

They are pretty even

But IMO Knicks win in 7

I never understood the hate for the nets. People would rather see the lakers get a super team than the nets be a contender. Why.

They didn't give them any credit when they went to back to back finals. And they won't now. This team is a good team on paper and hopefully on court. They will compliment each other very well.

Oh please...

Lopez played 5 games and never played with Wallace and Wallace played like 7 total games with Deron. It isn't about just Johnson. Try Wallace, Johnson, Lopez and a more effective Deron since he can't be doubled on every possession now.

But this comment is irrelevant... whenever someone calls other people out on their stupidity, like I'm doing with you, they simply get ignored.

LOL. You mean 2nd round ceiling team with Joe Johnson?

They could be. Then again Deron Williams could give them ECF potential

I believe Teletovic will start as PF for us with Hump being the first big off the bench. Teletovic said he was more concerned with playing time than money and thats why he took less money that the full MLE agreed at the start of FA. So im thinking he's been told he has a good shot at starting for us.

Besides I hate Hump beside Lopez, he is an awful defender but a very good rebounder and energy guy.

Need to sign a back up center now and try our best to get Green back. So potentially we will have a roster like:

Williams / Taylor
Johnson / Brooks / Stackhouse
Wallace / Green
Teletovic / Hump
Lopez / vet min

Still plenty of work to do in the offseason in regards filling out the team

It's a combination of Nets fans acting like idiots, the Lakers actually trading something of value (2nd best C in the league vs. Brook Lopez), and keeping Dwight from getting what he wants after all of this crap he's been pulling for the past 7 months.
