When the time comes to give him a new deal considering the kind of money that the like of Deandre, Mcgee and Brook got this summer?

I think Cousins is better than Deandre, McGee and Brook. Thus, he should get the max.

If Brook Lopez, Roy Hibbert, DeAndre Jordan & JaVale McGee all either have max or near max contracts no doubt in my mind that DMC should get a max contract.

Yes. He's getting a 5 year designated player deal before he hits the market too.

Yeah... Demarcus Cousins is better than Roy Hibbert and Brook Lopez despite having a lower TS% than Brandon Jennings throughout his career and having the maturity of an 11 year old.

Based on what he's done, he doesn't deserve it.
But based on the fact that he's an excellent rebounder with great size, solid overall athleticism and that he's going to be 22 in this upcoming season, I'd be fairly surprised if he didn't receive a max offer if he has even a season similar to either of his first two years.
He's got a TON of work before he deserves that kind of contract, though; he's quite prone to both fouls and turnovers, is a marginal free throw shooter and inefficient in most of his spots in general and while acceptable, not that good at drawing fouls.
Plus side, he rebounds very well at either end of the floor and made obvious strides as a defender in his second season, he's an average shooter on long 2s and he is an underrated passer (though he was limited in that capacity this past season).
Does that sound like a max player?
Like many players that still get the contract because of the contracts given to others, no, he really doesn't deserve it right now but if you're paying out on the chance that he reaches his potential, then he'd be worth it. It's all perspective, I suppose. He IS a young, high-potential player.

He's not better than Hibbert or Lopez, but there's no reason he can't be better than them in the near future.
And the maturity of an 11 year old? Who's the one that wants to go to disneyland?

I think this is kind of a 'duh' question after seenig the contracts all the other, not as good, C's got this summer.

He's way better than Lopez and that's not even an argument.

It actually would be a question. Lopez is a better offensive player, but he's considerably less effective on the glass and on defense. The trade-off is one that would necessarily give any serious evaluator some pause.

If fouling the opposing player on every other possession is considered good defense, then Cousins is a beastly defender.
