I'm wondering how well nba player would be able to perform in 100m. Players like Westbrook, lawson, lebron etc seem to be unbelivebly fast and I think they could break 10.15s or something like that. Actually, I couldn't find any date, besides Nate Robinson and his approximately 10.6 in HS. Do you have any data or at least some thoughts?

What's crazy all media is doing this dumb ****.
I had a random radio station on in the whip, not sure why, but these dumbasses were comparing NFL players to Gymnastics, comparing athleticism, as if all athleticism is the same.

OP can't be that dumb, can he? Nate Robinson ran a 10.6 and he ran one of the fastest 3/4 court sprints at the combine. No way are Lebron, Russell, and Lawson faster than AP, who ran a 10.33 in high school or Chris Johnson, who ran a 10.5 in high school.

This site:
http://speedendurance.com/2010/06/08/us ... int-times/ broke it down into NBA-ish terms, and it seems to indicate that the fastest players in the league (Nate Robinson types) would barely be world-class level. FWIW

this is silly, nba speed is nothing compared to nfl speed which is nothing compared to track speed. chris johnson runs a 4.24 40-yard dash and finished 4th in florida at the HS level with a 10.66 in the 100.

Exactly. The NFL has so many track athletes that just play football, but suck at it. Trindon Holliday for example

Thats a olympic medalist in the sprint events. I would be quite surprised if more then 2-3 players in the NBA could run sub 11. Now im talking about in a real race, not some handtimed races..

Walter Dix doesn't run a 3.75. Trindon Holliday ran a 4.29 and he beat Dix.

http://www.baylorbears.com/sports/c-tra ... ert00.htmlAccording to this, RGIII, aka M Vick with an arm, only came in 11th at the 2008 Olympic Team trials. This is a guy who knows all the mechanics, whereas someone like westbrook probably doesn't even have good form.
