Houston would have to win the west for Harden to win the MVP. Or even come in second in the west. That's not going to happen.

Won't really have any idea about the MVP race until the all-star break

LeBron and Wade climbing after tonight, LeBron probably gonna overtake Melo unless he plays really well and the Knicks get another W next game.. Wade 10-14 fg with great defense and 5 assists, shooting about 60 % from the field so far this season.

MVPs typically go to the best player on a team that at worst wins its division.

First game against an elite defender 1 on 1. 15 points (15 shots), 2 assists, and 6 turnovers. Still his first shot he'll get used to it.

Can't see Lebron winning it. Heat offense is too unselfish for him to statpad

I can see him putting up 25-10-6 with like 55% shooting and the Heat have the best record

It's LeBron right now unless Chris Paul gets the Clippers to a good record.

Based off ALL the games played so far...

Andrei Kirilenko.
Carmelo Anthony.
Joakim Noah.
Brandon Jennings.
Anderson Vaerjao.
Lou Williams.
Tim Duncan.
OJ Mayo.

Yeah...it's a bit too early...

If Miami keep scoring 110's there's sure to be a lot of blowouts with teams that can't score that high, and Lebron's stats are going to take a massive dip. I doubt voters look at per36 numbers when voting lol.

In that case his advanced stats will be insane, so I think he'll be fine

I can see Chris Paul getting it this year if the Clips are at the top of the West.

I don't understand why Anthony's name being mentioned that much. Yes, the Knicks are off to an awesome start, but if you take a look at Anthony's numbers, they're pretty average for him, and efficiency wise, he had much better seasons. It's pretty clear the Knicks good start comes from 2 things, ball movement, and defense. I would argue he doesn't even have the biggest impact on their defense. On the other end, it's obviously can't even be argued. I just don't see it, even if they, let's say, they win 58 games. Durant and Chris Paul are just much better, more impactful players, so even if they don't give it to Lebron, i would be extremely shocked if Anthony gets it.

Lebron will have (and is already having) a bad season statistically. Don't get me wrong, he's at his prime, but his numbers will go WAAAAY down from last season
.
Look at his first games. 20/7/5 all the time with great efficiency is his pattern and will continue to be. The difference is the Heat will be the first seed overall in the league, and will make a run at some of the best records of all time
.
I think they can get to 68-14. In Cleveland, Lebron got to 66

Have to watch the games, he is playing some of the best basketball of his life. His stats are signifigantly hampered by 1 game in which we had a slow streak and he ended up having to take every shot for like 3 min against miami, went like 0-7 in those few minutes and it obliterated his efficiency stats, leading to him playing a a great game against miami but taking 28 shots to get to 30
