Besides the fact that he at times pulls the trigger a bit prematurely, there's nothing wrong with his PG skills. He's averaging 6/7 assists for a rookie and a couple double-doubles.

His PG skills are just fine. Like RoyalWun said, there are areas he can improve in, but overall, his play making skills are solid for a rookie. He's averaging about the same ast/to ratio as Rose in his rookie year and is on pace to post better ast/to averages than Irving did his rookie season.

Still bitter that he didn't fall to our second pick :(

this was the first time I've really seen Anthony Davis play

he looks like he'll be a good player, however, two or three times tonight I saw Aldridge and Davis standing side by side and Aldridge looked significantly bigger. A good 2" taller and much heavier. And it's not like Aldridge is a Karl Malone type of big man. I was surprised that Davis was so slight. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't just camera angles either

Yeah Davis is ridiculously skinny man. He looks like he has spider limbs out there. I guess he is going to fill out eventually like Aldridge did himself.

Who here can read lips? What was Lillard yelling after he hit the game winner?

lol, Lillard scored 16 points and 4 assists on 14 shots in 38.5 minutes.

Davis scored 15 points and 5 rebounds on 10 shots in 33.5 minutes.

Let's not get carried away. And that was probably some of the worst shooting Davis has done this season, seemed like he missed more than 5 shots. Love Damian Lillard though, always have. Defended him like crazy on the Hornets board heading up to draft day when people were questioning his competition. The kid is a no doubt stud.

Had the Hornets won the game, we might have been talking about Austin Rivers big 3 to tie the game just before Lillard hit the shot. Fun game to watch.

Speaking of Austin, he's continued to play good basketball. He really needs to be even more aggressive as the Hornets need him to score.

He is now up to over 35% from the field for the season, not good but up from the 20% he started at.

He is shooting almost 41% from three and still has a 2:1 assist to turnover.

He has worked real hard on his floater, and it's starting to pay dividends. He's definitely more relaxed now and looks much more confident in his shot.

He has GOT to raise his free throw percent from 65% to up over 80%. Hitting his free throws would really enhance his game.

Sorry for the multiple responses.

Aldridge is listed at 6'11, 240 vs Davis who is listed at 6'10, 220. Shouldn't be too surprising.

Aldridge was 8-17 from the field with only 3 rebounds, so all in all not too bad of a matchup. It was actually JJ Hickson who was an absolute beast all night. 16 rebounds in 30 minutes, and a season high 24 points. Much of it against Ryan Anderson. The Hornets outrebounded the Blazers and had more second chance points, but I swear it didn't seem like it.

I would be shocked if he swore. Kid is a good Christian boy, but if that's what it looks like, I assume it's "This is my mother effing house" Although maybe he says **** at the end?

-Nuggets coach George Karl has seen Drummond twice and called his improvement "impressive." He said he expects to see more of Drummond and Monroe together soon.

"His confidence, he looks like he deserves to be on the court," Karl said. "He's a presence. He is a major presence. And Monroe, I think, will be able to play with him. I think, in time, they're going to have two big guys in there and they'll be very powerful."

There is no way Aldridge is 240, that's basically his rookie year weight. I'm sure he is +250, probably closer to 260 pounds right now.

The Hornets-Blazer game didn't decide the ROY race.

What Aldridge is listed at is not what he is. In 2006, at the draft combine, he was measured at 6'11.25 in shoes. It was reported during his rookie season that he had grown almost an inch since college. So, he's likely right around 7'

it was also reported a couple of years ago that he was around 260 lbs. but that he was thinking his optimal weight was around 255-258

I knew that Davis was of slight build. I just didn't expect there to be such a stark difference in both height and mass between him and Aldridge.

No single game ever decides a race like ROY. It can make some believers however. After the first matchup of the two biggest threats for the ROY award, you only hear one player being talked about.

Not that it really matters though. While it's fun to follow the ROY race, it means nothing in the scheme of things regarding a players career.
