Maybe cuz players in other sports wear helmets? I dunno...
Balding is linked to high testosterone levels. High testosterone is linked to taller height as well. Since NBA players are so tall, you would think they have higher testosterone levels on average, so maybe that is why balding is more prevalent amongst them as well.
Any athletic dude has a higher chance of balding.
Weak sensitive men have less chance of balding.
It is weird though that even though balding is linked higher testosterone levels (Male sex hormone), women prefer men with full hairlines (weak sensitive as you say)...Probably a cultural influence.
On further research (google search) I found this on Live Strong. com
It is a common misconception, but high testosterone levels in men do not cause hair loss, according to Dr. Robert Bernstein, elite hair restoration physician and professor of dermatology at Columbia University. Bernstein explains that hair loss occurs and varies based on how sensitive your hair follicles are to dihydrotestosterone. Dr. Bernstein notes that if hair loss was simply caused by testosterone, you could expect that body hair as well as scalp hair would all fall out. Body hair is most often completely resistant to DHT and generally grows faster when testosterone levels are high.

To sum it up, it says that balding is caused by a derivative of testosterone called Dihydrotestosterone, not testosterone directly.
Your hair follicles' sensitivity to DHT and how much of DHT your body happens to produce from the Testosterone already in your body is responsible for your **** up hairline.
