If I was Turner I'd embrace the Meatwad similarity and make it my nickname. There's no better character in the history of television.

Brandon Bass. I expected him to sound like Shaq for some reason.

Stephen Curry for me. Looks like he should have a softer, higher-pitched voice. I was pretty shocked when I heard him talk for the first time.

Also the Evan Turner/Meatwad comparisons have caused me to piss my pants with laughter.

Evan Turner is possessed by Kermit the Frog.

Omer is a good choice as well. And Iman Shumpert, just because he's such a smooth sounding guy.

Retired, but Sam Cassell Dikembe Mutumbo and Dennis Rodman are W. T. FFFFFF :o

It depends on many factors, but age is the pretty much the biggest one. The younger you learn a new language, the lesser the accent will be. That's why if you learn a language in your teens or younger, you will mostly have no accent. Meaning the foreign sounding accent, you'll just pick-up the accent of the local area you learned the language at.

This only applies if you didn't know Mully was a New Yorker beforehand.

Yeah, I remember the first time I heard him commentating. I went through like a quarter before they mentioned the names and it most definitely shocked the hell out of me to learn the Brooklyn accent dude was Chris Mullin.

I watched him growing up, but never really heard him in interviews or anything. He was always on the backburner back then, with MJ, Magic, Bird, Dream, etc. Probably the least recognizable of the original Dream Team members, excluding Laettner.

Linas Kleiza. A European who moved to the US to play basketball in high school. Didnt know English back then so he picked up the accent of most of the guys he played with. Sounds like a black guy

Mullin sounds like he's trying to be Mark Jackson.

Also, this thread is pretty much full of Pacific Northwestern guys.

How do "black" guys sound? This thread is full of black guys that sound differently, so it'll be interesting to hear what you mean.

And I listened to him, he sounds like he has an accent (foreign). So maybe you mean black guys who have an accent...

Derrick Rose and Tim Duncan come to mind, but Evan Turner wins this hands down.
