I can't find a video of this, but I remember MJ talking to the fans right after game 6 of the 1997 finals and suggesting, playfully, that they were gonna be back in the finals and win 9 championships total.

People say tons of stuff if they're caught up in the moment, and that's exactly what LeBron did, but people act as if he went on a talk show and directly proclaimed they were gonna win 8 titles.

If I made a thread like this about Kobe...... such a double standard.

After the Pacers lost to the Bulls two years ago they talked a lot about how they should have won. Last year they talked a lot of trash after being up 2-1 on Miami and then again said after the series that they could have won. They ain't won nothing but keep thinking they are better than everyone.

I dont think you guys understand what OP is saying, he's not criticizing lebron for being cocky, he's saying its hypocritical to call the pacers cocky when he's cocky. There's also absolutely nothing wrong with him being cocky, he has every right to be; but don't act like some sort of moral citizen criticizing others for being cocky when you act like that.

What exactly is cocky about the Pacers on the floor? They play hard constantly, don't have the huge egos of Miami, and don't run their mouths off the floor like Miami does. "King James" and "chosen" I guess aren't considered cocky either.

LeBrons quote is about ON THE COURT only,where even if you hate him you have to admit he lets his game do the talking.If that Pacers - Heat series was the first basketball series you would have ever watched there is a 0% chance you would think LeBron was cockier than the Pacers.


So stop bringing up videos from years ago.

Find me videos of LeBron being cocky on court in the last 2 years,I'll wait.
