His numbers and how he has elevated Houston as a team make him a real MVP candidate.

He should be in the discussion. Houston is a pleasant surprise this year beacause of him...

It's been only few months.. And people are already talking about Harden's chance of being MVP. Wow
What has OKC done really?? If Harden gets the MVP I guess they'll make the history some way being the first team ever to trade MVP before the season. Damn.. Just resign Harden, trade Westbrook for Rondo and picks.. = dynasty. Idiots

Doctor MJ wrote:Yup, I expect some comedown for them. I don't expect Melo to really be an MVP contender at the season's end, I just see how it could happen. With Harden on the other hand, I really just don't see an avenue for him to get there short of injuries to other players.

Agreed, I don't either. But I think by default, he (Melo will remain in top 5)

My guess is he ends up top 5 as well, no higher than 4th.

My MVP so far is Durant.

I think the clincher for Harden not being the MVP really is that OKC is looking as good as they ever did. Had OKC fallen in the tank, Harden would be getting serious discussion right now.

Quite frankly, the fact that OKC hasn't fallen off despite Harden being this good, along with the details associated with it, is why Durant's my MVP pick.

I don't think he has a real shot of winning it. I have Durant winning it so far. But I think he can finish top 5 in voting if the Rockets somehow win 50 games. That still remains to be seen. The Rockets haven't proven that they can beat some of the top teams in the West except for Memphis.

Harden's insane but Durant's the MVP. OKC at 9 SRS, Durant at 28/8/4/1.5/1.5 @ 65% TS. his supposed all-star buddy Westbrook is having a terrible year in terms of efficiency, going for only 51% TS (kidd-esque). Durant is having a prime Bird year so far.

1.Durant
2.LeBron
3.CP3
4.Harden

he deserves to be all-NBA 1st though. yes, over Kobe. he's a better player than Kobe.

Not a chance.

He certainly should.

Please use the MVP sticky.
