does the bulls success expose rose?
Most teams really struggle when there star goes down but Chicago was successful without him last year as well as thus far this season, does that in anyway diminish his impact or is it more a testament to thibbs

Re: does the bulls success expose rose?
What success? They are like 1 or 2 losses away from a 7th seed team.
East is brutally bad and so many players are injured. East is far worse than last 2 years.
Everyone expected Bulls to be around 6th seed team and Bulls are basically right there tied with couple of teams.

No, but a first round loss to an 8th seed exposed the Bulls without Rose for sure.

They're 10 games over .500 and were very good last season

94-26. That's the Bulls regular season record with Rose playing in 10-11 & 11-12.
Your turn.

Re: does the bulls success expose rose?
They not only loss Rose but they loss a lot of key bench players. Doesn't really expose Rose though because Rose only won MVP since it was a weak MVP season and everyone hated Lebron. He would not have won it any season with any real competition.

It shows he is one of the least deserving MVPs in league history. Dwight Howard should have won MVP that year. You see what the Bulls are without Rose. You see with the Magic have become without Howard. Realize put healthy Dwight on the Magic roster right now they are likely pushing another 55-60 win season. Doesn't mean Rose is a bad player. However the talk that the Bulls were being carried by Rose and would be 25 wins without him was crazy. That the Bulls may have won 55 games that year with just about any top 10 PG. They win because of defense and rebounding.

Didn't help that Lebron chose to leave for more help and yet his team ended up with 8 fewer wins than the team he left the previous season.

No, I think it exposes how damn good of a coach the Bulls have. That Thibodeau is no joke...he demands the absolute best from his players and it really shows on the court.

No, it simply shows that since he's not the defensive anchor he's not as important to the Bulls in the regular season.
That said their offense plummeted from top 5 to 23rd.

With Rose 78.3% winning percentage. This season, 60.4%.
If anything it exposes how good Thibs is to keep Rose's supporting cast comfortably above water and winning at a decent rate. Rose takes them from a good team to a possible contender. This ensemble scares no one without the prospect of Rose joining it.

The Roster in 011 was even worse. He wishes he had Affalo or Nikola. Like I said put that Dwight on the Magic right now and they are the second best team in the East. Not a historic season? Since 1975 only 3 players have averaged at least 22 and 14 with a PER of 26. The other two are all-time greats and both won league MVP the year they did it. He did it while also winning DPOY. Not historic? I might say that is one of the best two way seasons in league history. He carried that roster. They won because of his defense and his attention to open up the shooters. He was given Gilbert Arenas who not even in the league anymore. Ryan Anderson was the second best player on the roster and he was a part time player. The rest of the roster was average to below average players. He was the clear cut MVP if you weren't going to give it to Lebron. The Magic would have been a 25 win team without him.
I could care less about the win total. The media has made it a best player on the team with most wins award. Unless that player is on the Spurs. The award is who was the Most Valuable Player. There is no way you can say Drose was more valuable than Lebron or Dwight. This year and how they played without him last year proves it.
