He is shooting .37 this season.
Talk about a knee jerk reaction to one game.

He's been hurt all year. He's finally healthy. Plus, what does 19 rebounds have to do with shooting % ?

Slow down there, it's one game. But it's true, we really did get a steal, giving up only a 2013 2nd rounder for a pretty solid big man. Wish he had any kind of consistency though.

Way to over-react over one good game.
On the season, he's averaging 12.2ppg/7.8rpg on 37.7% FG percentage! That's not a typo. All of this in a starting role with 31MPG. He's played decent in the last 4 games averaging 15.75ppg since he's been back but hes shooting a dismal 41% for a big.
He's a decent role player who can get hot if he get streaky on the perimeter but he's been given all of the opportunity in the world and just hasn't produced at a consistent level.

The fact you said trading him was a mistake.
Someone shooting that fg would ruin OKC, he is also a terrible defender. What would he bring to OKC?

This thread isn't about this game. It's about the fact that even the best gm's in the biz make mistakes occasionally. Mully is a 15/10 center that did not see a minute of pt in OKC.

What evidence do you have to prove he is a 15/10 center?
He also plays terrible D. OKC need defense.
Ibaka > Mullens.
They may have got more for him than a 2nd rounder I agree, but I doubt Presti is losing sleep over it.

it was a good trade for Charlotte as we can afford to try and develop him, hope he can becomes something.
OKC need to win now and Mullens wouldn't have been part of it

He's a guy who can put up 13/8 in over 30 mpg on the worst team in the league, while giving it all back on the defensive end.
OKC really needed that guy.

There are maybe a lot better rookies who' are not even seeing any minutes in OKC right now.

Byron has been playing much better D this season, and has been much better in general since coming back from injury. I think he can definitely be a 15/7 guy off the bench. People forget he is pretty young and inexperienced like the rest of the Bobcats, and he needs a few more seasons of learning like this before he becomes successful

I think his ceiling is 13/7 on terrible efficiency in around 30 mins.
He may well improve and I hope he does but he is 24 this week. I dont expect a vast amount of improvement.
IMO the best improvement will be to take away some of his shots. Guy does not need 4.5 3's a game unless he has the hot hand.

MJ was vindicated when Kwame Brown had a 30/19 game...

As a fan of Mullens, I'll gladly admit that one of his biggest problems (maybe his biggest) was between his ears. Although he'll never be Larry Bird in the bb IQ area, he does appear to be getting the hang of things. I don't think he ever had four assists in one game last year. But he wasn't chosen as the best high school player coming out of his graduating class for no reason. He's an athletic seven footer who can run, jump, and shoot. Often times shoot too much, but he does have a good stroke. The jury's still out, but Mullens can be a very productive player.

He was being guarded and boxed out by Brandon Bass. Of course he's gonna go off.

Byron Mullens is way better than Kendrick Perkins.

Mullens played 43 minutes, Bass played 32. Your excuse doesn't add up.
