Lebron is going to win the award by a landslide, and should receive every first place vote

Durant is going to finish second for the third time already in his career

3rd place is the only real thing in question

I heard they are making a patch for this on the all-star warm-ups next season.

Durant will win an MVP most likely next year or the next. Only reason this guy won't have about 4-5 mvp's in his career is cause of that jerk off Lebron

Where is all this TP talk coming from anyway? Was it inspired by Barkley barking? PEACE.

It got sparked by him just outplaying Chris Paul.

I guess we should put JJack in the MVP talks now also based on that.

Anyways its basically people being bored by the fact that LeBron is having a GOAT level regular season and trying to initiate new narrative arguments.

LOL @ TP's MVP candidacy lasting about as long as a Big Show title reign. It's ok. He just got Jacked. It happened to the Heat earlier this year too. PEACE.

(Tp) He was / is never considered "the" MVP candidate just a MVP candidate . Mainly because you can't just talk about one guy, even though this will be a one man race

Tony Parker's case was hurt when they all sat out of the Miami game and the Spurs almost won it. The system works.

Kyrie Irving should be over TP in the MVP race.

I noticed the MVP chatter slowed down on these threads as soon as lebron stopped coasting and turned it up a notch. What happened to all of the Durant advanced stats supporters? Any knicks fans still think melo is more of an MVP than lebron?

The scary part is Lebron turns it up heading into the playoffs. Hard imagining he still has like 2 more gears he can hit.

If you look at the historical list of past NBA MVP winners the list has very little to no aberrations. They're all essentially the most elite players of NBA history.

Even Stave Nash who some have questioned in the past has proven himself to be a top player in NBA history and will go down and has already actually gone down as one of the greatest pg's ever.

So this talk by some people of whatever team has the best record and whatever player is "the best" on that team automatically equals MVP, it doesn't. The MVP award is still reserved for the best of the best in the league.

The Spurs right now are operating more like the 2004 Pistons did, a great team altogether but one that didn't depend wholly on a single player only.

How is durants season just being swept under the rug.
His team has a better record than the heat with one less allstar.
Lebron gets all this better season than jordan talk but he isn't even top 2 in scoring....at his own position.
Durant is avg 1.2 blocks and 1.6 steals.
vs lebrons, .8 blocks and 1.7 steals.

Durant is the redheaded stepchild to the league because he outscores lebron at will and that interferes with lebrons jordan image.
So lebron should be awarded again fot being on a superteam with 3 allstars but durant has the better record with less allstars but he's less than TP.

They have for most of the year. Right now the heat are 38-14 vs 40-15 for the thunder. Practically identical and the thunder have one less allstar
Also when Rose won the mvp all we heard was how weak the division was. Why no talk about the trash division the heat are in?

Lebrons playing better than Durant on an equally dominant team. I don't understand what youre getting at.

The Heat are 2-0 vs OKC and they are 20-5 vs the west this year. They trash too?

and durant was actually in the lead for MVP talks for most of the year...until lebron ramped it up and the heat capped it off by utterly outplaying the thunder on national television.

You're argument is stuck in janurary. Tony Parker is all the rage now you should hop on that...
