Which players had gang backgrounds?

Post#1 » by rickrolled » Mon Feb 25, 2013 4:31 pm

I heard rumours that Pierce is a blood,he showed a "B" sign to Horford once in a game, I know Stephen Jackson is an a**wipe and a gangsta/pimp but he's dumb as hell.

What about JR Smith ? He writes letter C with "K's", Isaiah Thomas ? (sac kings).

Stephen Curry
Gordon Hayward
David Lee
Kevin Love
Brandon Roy
Richard Jefferson
Dirk Nowitski
Steve Novak
Matt Bonner
Ricky Rubio

If you watch games closely all of these players do a subtle hand gesture after making a shot or assist and they do it while looking at either the corner seats in the lower bowl or the corner seats in the nosebleeds.

It's a sign of respect towards their gang. There's a compilation video of it on YouTube, but you usually have to be quick or lucky to find them because they get taken down kinda quickly when they get discovered. The hand gesture is basically a closed fist, but tilted between 10-25 degrees. Each player has their own variation of it depending on their ranks, so it gets really tough to memorize each one. There's a big variety and it's complicated.

Derrick Rose is part of the Gangster Disciples (GD), DeShawn Stevenson is a blood, and I think Pierce is a piru...Idk what LeBron throws up but it's definitely not a part of any street gang that's for sure...

A lot of NBA players are Black and they imitate their rapping counterparts on MTV who are actually real scum gangbangers. So it is hard to tell who is actually a real scum gangbanger and who is just acting like that to look cool on TV.

It requires a certain level of commitment to make it to the professional level in sports... I would imagine most of these guys didn't have a whole lot of time to be out slangin' and bangin'... The guys we see traditionally referred to as having gang backgrounds in the NBA, may have been protected by a gang in their neighborhood as they were coming up, but were probably more of a mascot than anything.
For every guy who made it out of that environment, there are 4 or 5 with maybe the same physical ability and talent, but not enough focus and drive to play professional sports... Those are the guys that end up really in the gangs.

Earl boykins and Nate Robinson are in a gang. Heard a rumor that spud Webb is the leader.
