So crazy. On the news they were showing new video and they accidentally caught a guy with his leg blown off. :(

This is awful, hope everyone in Boston is safe. Wonder what caused the explosions...

The way they're talking about it it sounds like planted bombs I guess. If so I hope that find that guy fast.

Hope all of our Boston posters and their friends and families are well. This is depressing.

They found secondary devices that didn't explode from what I hear.

I'm in Boston and all I can hear are sirens and helicopters. Hopefully not a lot of people were hurt.

Prayers go out to the innocent runners.

They were all just doing something healthy and something they love and then this happens.

They are also saying there are suspicioius devices being found at JFK airport and another location that have yet to go off. If you you are in the BOS area go home immediately.

Apparently DeadSpin has posted some gruesome pictures of the injuries..I learned from the Kevin Ware injury not to let my curiosity get the best of me.

Horrific.... just horrific. I almost want to hop on the subway and see if there's anything I can do to help but it's just not my place I suppose. I'd probably get in the way.

Ugh. Just saw some pictures. People are sick. Why do this and still set up other bombs? This wasn't enough?

Boston.com sports producer Steve Silva was near the finish line when the explosions occurred near the intersection of Boylston and Exeter streets.

"I was there at the finish, shooting finish line scenes, and then bang, it just went off, and then less than 15 to 20 seconds after there was a second explosion, closer to Fairfield street," Silva said.

"It was just immediately [evident] there were injuries, right in the middle of the spectator crowds. There was blood everywhere, there were victims being carried out on stretchers. I saw someone lose their leg, people are crying, people are confused."

"It was just an explosion, it came out of nowhere. There are multiple injuries. I saw dismemberment, I saw blood everywhere. People are badly injured."

Just a depressing reminder that there are some seriously evil people out there who get pleasure in doing such sick acts.
