Nick Young being sued for Rape

Nick Young is being sued for sexual assault by a woman for an incident that occurred in West Hollywood in 2011.
Young allegedly bought champagne for the woman and her friend, and then slipped the date rape drug gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid into the beverage because her memory of the evening ended shortly thereafter.
Young admitted to the woman the next morning that he had sex with her but then stopped when she passed out. The woman was bleeding from her vagina and rectum.
When Young took the woman home, she then went to the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, where she took a rape kit and was tested for STDs.
Young is being sued for sexual battery, sexual assault and false imprisonment.
Young spent the 12-13 NBA season with the Philadelphia 7ers and will be a free agent this offseason.

Personally i still find it hard to believe that guys like Nick young need to rape women when guys like Royce White are getting the poon whenever they want. Not to mention groupies are all over the place. JMO

So your saying that this chick was just so hott that he had to have her? that he had to risk his career and drug a woman just to get it in? not saying its not possible but seems like a lot just to sleep with a stranger, especially when you have more opportunities than the average joe.

Being sued for rape sounds weird.
Anyway. Hopefully more information shows up so we can judge ourselves

Why did she wait 2 years to do this..? I'm going to wait for more info before I judge him. I made the same mistake by prematurely assuming Kobe was guilty right when I first heard of his "rape" accusation.

My guess is she just saw him on TV this year and was like woah I banged that guy, he is rich, let's sue him.

so she saying nick young was just rolling around with the date rape drug on his person? how does she know if it was in it, or someone else put it in there if it was indeed there.
Personally i see nick as a goofy kid, never shown any signs of maliciousness in any way or enough intelligence to be calculating. He's a good looking kid and i don't think he needs to resort to this but then again nba players make stupid decisions when it comes to women ( look at harden and royce white).
This may hurt him though as far as its coming out belatedly when he's a free agent, and i think he's engaged to a puerto rican sprinter unless thats off

On a serious note, he definitely should be considered innocent until proven guilty. If he is found guilty, though, he should go to jail for life.

It's a civil case, no criminal charges are being brought. Which I find odd.

Perhaps there is not enough evidence to satisfy the criminal standard, but there is enough to satisfy the civil standard?
"On the balance of probabilities" is a lot easier to satisfy than "beyond all reasonable doubt." This was the case, rightly or wrongly, in the OJ Simpson case.
