http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... n-Schedule"It's a fluid process,'' Bynum said. "I have no idea what the schedule's going to be for me. But I'm doing everything I can to be ready. I think with the program that has been made up, we have a good chance.
"I'm optimistic I'm where I should be. Obviously, I want to be playing. But I'm taking baby steps, doing what the team and the doctors tell me. I'm doing my part. I come to work every day. I'm moving in the right direction.''
Bynum has not been cleared for full-court basketball, but he is on a three-hours-a-day, six-days-a-week regimen.
Didn't see a thread on this yet. Bynum being Bynum? Don't understand how he could possibly still be injured. I wonder if Cleveland will end up being the next sucker for this dude.

as a philly fan i can empathize right now with what cleveland fans have in front of them. don't get me wrong - the contract wasn't too bad and all that, but the guy with his comments is such a tease. all of last year he was just a few weeks from playing. never saw a minute. i hope he proves me wrong, but i don't have a good feeling.

He's my least favorite player in sports. Final straw for me was when he was refusing to workout for teams that were interested in signing him. Just a bum.

Bynum perfected the art of telling the media absolutely nothing in so many words..

Agree... He had to say nothing and he said nothing.

I think we all know that he doesnt really want to play basketball. He just wants to be rich and enjoy it.

I think he was saying the same exact thing last summer right before training camps.

He probably has trouble figuring out the right hairstyle for returning on the court.

*shrugs* Cavs fans have little invested. We can afford to be patient with him, and we expect there to be setbacks if not total failure. Until that's determined, he's a nifty trade asset that we can use to take on as much as $18M in salary while costing the other team next to nothing.

Oden may actually play a game of basketball before Bynum does.

Part of the reason I didn't and still do not buy into Cavs being legitimate playoff team. Team full of "if's" and "potential" which usually that usually never bodes well - see Minnesota.

I will laugh hysterically if Oden plays before Bynum.
Drew's knees are just as shot, he just needed a bit more time to catch up. I feel bad for Cleveland, and for Philly, since both franchises deserved more than what he'll likely bring to Cleveland and the nothing he brought to Philly.

Watch Bynum put out an allstar season while leading the Cavs to the playoffs..

More likely you see him waived in January when he only costs $6m and before his other $6.25m kicks in (per Brian Windhorst).
Still, cheap investment if it doesn't work out. And if he's just stringing the Cavs along and not forthcoming about his schedule, they can kick him away in January and save a ton of cash.

Well he's certainly an all star caliber bench warmer.

i feel bad for Bynum.
he was quite athletic and was growing into a dominant NBA center. his first two injuries were definite freak accidents that destroyed his knees....
was it Odom both times who fell into his knee?
