According to the lawsuit, Harden was on his way out of Greystone Manor nightclub in West Hollywood November 3rd — riding in the back seat of some SUV — when he rolled the window down to greet fans.

That’s when a man named Barak Golan says he shouted at Harden, “Kobe owns your ass!” and Harden allegedly socked him in the face.

I hope Harden got some good hits in. Low IQ rabble arrogantly doing things such as instigating preschool level bullying to harass a player greeting fans - apparently in Harden's rolled down Window, unless Harden got out and chased him down - should all be punched for their stupidity and as a reward for trying to provoke someone and look cool.

See Harden, you're not the only one who knows how to sell contact to the officials.

Assuming the guy was making a scene trying to look important or fishing for a law suit by harassing a celebrity, why would you want him to be rewarded for this behavior?

Somewhere this will be the first time 'Harden', 'tough', and 'defense' will all be used in the same paragraph.

Let's just ignore that defense will be used as a legal term here, and be happy for him.

He's a fan, he's suppose to heckle. Doesn't mean you punch a guy. Harden should know better especially since he's worth millions. If this is all true, i'm sure he's going to learn his lesson.

talking smack? that's what athlete's get for being in the limelight. Haterz going to hate, you can't just go around punching all the haterz because you feel like it. Its called assault and its a illegal.

Maybe it's true that athletes should have to learn how to put up with the heckling, but that doesn't mean that it's okay for fans to suddenly walk to up them and throw a random assault. If this story is true, then I don't condone what Harden did. But people stupid enough to go up to an athlete to taunt them probably deserves a punch.

Well, no, but I find it hilarious. Really hate guys who try to act important when a celebrity is around and feel good about harassing them. Guys who try and pick a fight intentionally (unexpectedly) actually getting punched as a consequence? Hilarious.

Why Not? is it illegal? you put yourself in the limelight, you have to deal with the good and bad that comes along with it.

In CA and many other states an adult can not physically hurt someone even if they call you names or insult your pride. Let alone attack a fan over a basketball statement like Kobe owns your ass.

Legally speaking if that plaintiff has a witness that saw the punch Harden will lose and will be liable for pain and suffering. And you know that is going to cost. The courts love to show control over celebs/rich and knock them down a peg. You cant punch NBA fans for stating an opinion in L.A. If Fisher didnt punch the fans that held there hand over their eye and heckled him with chants of cancer then you cant just punch someone for a basketball opinion. You get owned by an all-time great...in the NBA it happens.

I'ts surprised a flopper would hit a civilian. I think it would be EPIC if DURING THE CIVIL COURT CASE THEY PLAINTIFF USED FOOTAGE OF HARDEN HARDEN FLOPPING TO SHOW THAT HARDEN ISNT TRUSTWORTHY AND IS DECEPTIVE. Next the attorney brings up KOBE STATS vs. HARDEN STATS and has expert witnesses -coaches -analysts etc. talk about the significant of those stats. Then Harden's lawyers try to use select advanced stats that Kobe is a chucker. And then there is back and forth.

You couldn't win a championship w/ Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and deep bench, but Kobe can win two w/ Gasol and Odom? Kobe could certainly win championshipS w/ Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and a bench.

I would love to see a troll attorney just take him to task because it would be funny. I wish there was a basketball SNL.
