WOJ: Jason Kidd losing support within Nets' locker room

Post#1 » by Tinseltown » Sat Dec 28, 2013 12:25 am

For all the stories about Kidd's grandstanding speeches in the locker room, calling out players in private and public, make no mistake: He's losing these Nets the way Scott lost Kidd a decade ago. Eventually, the players need a plan, need substance. There's no faster way to lose a locker room than calling Kevin Garnett a quitter.

How long until we see changes on the Nets?

Wow did he actually call KG a quitter? You can call KG a lot of things, but you can't call him a quitter

The Nets are dysfunctional. Kidd sucks as coach. It's time for him to take responsibility instead of dishing out the blame.

When I read "the players don't know their roles", can't they figure this out themselves? One/two players (Either D-Will or KG or ... ) take the lead and tell them who does what or is that too simplified? A guy like Reggie Evans should only rebound, he averaged 11 rebounds per game last season. Look at him now and his playing time, what a difference it can make.

Also KG knows how to run a defense, why doesn't he try to implement some type of Celtics defense he has used in the past. Most of the guys in the league are familiar with opponents plays/schemes and defensive settings so how hard is it to do your own thing? I'm sure Kidd/the coaching staff wouldn't like it, but if it helps?

Should've stayed with PJ, why get rid of him for someone that retired just minutes ago. I understand that Kidd was a great floor general, but everyone has to pay their due in some way.

From Simmons
Bill Simmons ‏@BillSimmons 2h
Also keep hearing that a big stickler for the Nets vets with Kidd is that he doesn't wotk hard. Like a Steve Spurrier/Redskins situation.

Bill Simmons ‏@BillSimmons 2h
PS: Nets will fire Billy King before they fire Kidd. He's the one who hired Kidd and made all these trades. Kidd will be no. 2 fall guy.

Would anyone trade for PP at this point? If he can get a buyout, where does he end up?

Kidd can't coach. I feel bad for Nets fans who have to endure through this maniac's tenure.

I don't believe there are any leaders in the Nets.

What did Garnett do to have Kidd view him as a quitter?

Not surprising at all he obviously has no clue what he's doing.
