Think about it guys,if you have the second pick (right now mind you, since there is no clear cut 1st pick) you don't have the pressure of missing out on 1 of Parker or Wiggins, you just pick the remaining player who has a 50/50 chance of being better than the other. Now many might say Darko Milicic but surely Wiggins or Parker have enough upside not to flop THAT hard...right?

If i was drafting based off of a few Youtube clips and box scores...maybe...?
But NBA organizations have scouts, analytics, coaches, etc. whom they pay a lot of money to make these decisions. I'd want my pick of the whole field.

Cuz its Kobe Bryant with some sick aviators, in a jet black vest jacket chewing his gum MJ style as he walks across the court during some kind of pre-game like a f***in' boss when he finally pulls his phone out and starts talkin on it. Its hilariously awesome.

Well if you genuinely think there are exactly 2 top guys, and in your most well thought-out opinion they are legitimately equally good prospects, and you are sure these two guys will be the 1st two picks, and you have no real preference between then, then yes. Absolutely the 2nd pick is better. If your guy is a bit of a bust, you will never get hounded for it. "The guy was an absolute consensus top two pick along with ______, you couldn't have known - they took ______, so you took your guy."
If your guy is the better one, great, you got the better one. Neither scenario do you get blamed for making a "wrong" pick.
Whereas with the 1st pick, if your guy is the better one, great you got the better one, but...
If your guy ends up having a much worse career than the #2 pick guy... you made the mistake. Should have taken ________. Obviously. Your fan base might be haunted by it. THe legend may end up, "man can you believe they picked bust mcbusty over _________?" Shades of Oden/Durant.
Whereas if you're the 2nd pick, you never had that opportunity to pick the bust over the legend. You just took whichever one was left. You cannot be blamed.
With that said...
In any other scenario where you think you can properly choose which guy is better, and there is a guy who is in your sober opinion better than the others.... you always want the #1 pick.

It's the Greg Oden principle.

worked out well for Seattle (OKC) in 2007 when whoever had 2nd pick got the leftover of Oden and Durant

In this draft I think this is especially true.
In terms of talent I'm leaning towards Parker but if Wiggins has an amazing career which is CERTAINLY a possibility you'll always be the GM that didn't draft Wiggins.
Also as far as RGM is concerned Blake is a soft, one dimensional player who puts up "empty stats" when anybody who watches the Clippers knows that is not true.

I guess bad GMs who care more about securing their job than the franchise interest would think like that.

The OP's idea will most probably work only if the Cavs has the no.1 pick.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I'd rather have the pick where you have the opportunity to pick the player that you think is better. If you are scared to pick first because of the risk of picking the wrong player you shouldn't be a gm in the NBA.
The situation is kind of like what the knicks did with the lowry trade. Dolan? canceled the trade because he thought if Masai were to rip them off again it would make him a laughing stock so to speak. The decision to do so proved costly, Lowry will likely be an-allstar this year, and the knicks are looking more like they will miss to play-offs.
