Seriously...what is his ceiling? He is 19 and he will grow to be legit 7 footer. At SF. He seems lanky and slim like KD but nowhere near skilled like Kevin was when he entered the league. Do you think Giannis can become multiple all-star? What kind of numbers do you predict for him in the future? He has perennial all-defense potential with his length. He can back off a shooter few feet and just take one step and he is already in his grill. That's amazing how long this dude is. It seems like he works hard and really wants to become better and kinda never happy with where he is currently skill wise.

I think he's going to be a fantastic player, I love his game.

Ceiling? Paul George if he works on his outside shooting. I say PG because, to me, PG is more of an all-around player than KD, which better represents Giannis' game.

Realistically? Kawhi Leonard, at the very least. Though I guess we don't know his ceiling yet either...

You can most certainly say that he's not as good of a shooter as Durant, but nowhere near skilled? Kid has mad handles and better vision than KD will ever have, and you can see that not even 3 months into his NBA career. He's the most skilled player on the Bucks, and he'd be a freshman in college this year.

He's going to be a max player in 3 years.

How do you know he'll be 7 foot?

I haven't really seen him play, but on 2k14 he's about as useless as Luc Richard Mbah Moute.

We don't know exactly how tall he'll be, but doctors recently said his growth plate was still open

It's weird. I watched a couple Bucks games recently where he didn't put up good stats, but I still walked away thinking he was the most special player on the floor. I have no idea how to predict his scoring rate down the road since he's only scoring 10 points/36 minutes. He looks like he has the talent to do much better than that, but it's hard to project that he's going to turn into a 25 point/36 minute player off of that.

I honestly have no idea who to compare him to historically.... If I had to make a prediction I'd say he'll be a 5x5 threat on any given night, and average 18ppg or something, but I really have no idea how this plays out.

I only watched him for three games so thanks for insight. I know he has great vision but I can't wait until Bucks acquire some decent talent to sorround him. Mad handles? That's Jamaal Crawford tier..wouldn't agree on taht.

Reports(multiple articles about this) that doctors calculated somehow that. Also, I'll ignore taht 2K14 comment and be ashamed that you're Lakers fan. Luc is great defender and rebounder on the 2K and Giannis has untapped potential on taht game also.

Strong comment on a basketball forum. Anyway, the kid has superstar tools and talent (ball handling for his size, body coordination), the question is, does he have the drive? I hope he does.

He does have nice rebounding numbers and all he has to get is more touches. He is shooting something like 52% inside the arc but he is making all of his shots in the restricted area and right side of 3pt line. Only 10 percent of his shots has came from the mid area... He needs to improve that shot. But he has 10 years before hitting a prime.

Along with Wolters (who played great D the 3 times I saw him play), Henson and Middleton he should lead the resurgence of the Bucks. All four are monsters so far.

To answer the thread I see him becoming a rich man's Batum so Paul George is the ceiling. He doesn't have the natural talent of Durant to become that good of a scorer and he still has a long way to go as a passer but he'll be great.

I saw him in the Utah game, and really, aside of being freakishly tall for a SG, I don't get the hype. He did absolutely nothing to help his team win, and he's been sent to the bench. I'm sorry, but 19 year olds getting comparisons to KG, Durant, George, etc.. need to show me something more than 6.8ppg 4.7rpg 1.5apg in 22.6mpg, in 29 games on the worst team in the league, by far. I know some people are going to say, HE'S YOUNG, potential, blah blah blah, but when he's 20 next year, what is he going to put up? I expect something like 18/8/3 1.5/1.5 to match the hype he's getting, and there is no way IMO that he reaches that point this early. He looks extremely raw. He can be good, but people get sold on a player very easily.

All-Star potential. What you like most is his feel for the game on both ends. If we did a re-draft now I would take him number 1 or 2.

Also 0.8 blks and 0.6 steals. We KNOW that fresh-19 year old kid is not going to put up LeBron like numbers in his rookie season. And who even mentioned KG? lol George actually wasn't that much better as a rookie as a 20 year old. Per 36 George put 2.7 points more, .5 blocks less, 0.9 assists less, 3.3% better FT%, 1 rebound less, 1.4% better 2PT FG% and 1.7 worse 3PTFG%. Also worse FG%. Giannis is playing only 2 minutes more than George is. So yeah, that George comparision is actually on point. If not, Giannis is actually better rookie than George.
