For those of us who didn't watch, what happened?

Not watching but i'm not surprised, i mean they gave the hawks 17 points in like 2 minutes.

Celtics down by 3, 15 seconds left , Rondo has the ball and literally just dribbles around in the corner and finally gives it up to a players who is standing out of bounds with like 1 seconds left.

A couple possessions before, he just threw the ball out of bounds to no one in particular, a fairly common play, but it was suspicious.

Rondo dribbles himself into a corner with like 10 seconds to go down 3 until the clock winds all the way down and dumps it off to Chris Johnson whose out of bounds but hits a 3 that doesn't count with .9 to go. Looked like it was going to be a 4pt play when I saw it live. Was about to have a heart attack.

I saw him commit a 5 seconds violation in the end of the first quarter under his own basket when he had a wide open pressey and he was pretending to look for a player to pass to.

He was also jogging on defense on the times I watched him.

Hahahah...the celtics are blatantly tanking for a while now, but they aren't even doing it right, they won 2 straight games last week they had no business of winning.

This game probably had the worst final 2 minute stretch I've ever seen.

Do I even have to explain this to you? They aren't tanking. They are just a bad team.

Dude, see what they did vs the hawks or vs the bulls at the garden.

Rondo confirmed to be part of the Celtics' future plans?

Yeah they are a crap team. Like you said, "they aren't even doing it right", which should lead you to believe...they aren't tanking.

I'm not just defending the Celtics by the way. I'd defend most teams in the bottom 5 right now. I still can't believe there are posters out there that believe players and coaches tank. These guys play to win. They're just bad.

One of the games last week was against the magic, one of them had to win. Winning those two games doesn't confirm they aren't tanking, i know tanking when i see it, it isn't that hard to see it in fact.

Lol, wow. I can only imagine your board had a 4-point play happened. I poked my head in there on Friday after the Charlotte win - I don't think I knew what despair was until then. Meltdown wasn't the word.

I'm sorry, but that's just a naive position, IT HAPPENS, and i'm not even taking that as a shot at the celtics, it's the way the system works, they are just doing what other teams do as well.

No it doesn't, lol. It's completely media created. Front offices rebuild and put teams in a position to lose, but if you truly believe players and coaches throw games, I have a bridge to sell you. I guarantee you Brad Stevens, a coach who went to back to back NCAA championship games and is trying to form a reputation in the NBA, is not tanking games.

We didn't even do a victory cigar thread(player of the game in a win) for the Saturday win. Board woulda shutdown for weeks if that had been a 4pt play.

Rondo is our ultimate tank commander. I know the majority thinks he is overrated but even the biggest Rondo hater has to admit that he can't be THAT bad. It's no coincidence that we lose every game he plays - he has orchestrated several spectacular 4th quarter chokejobs with bad defense and horrendous turnovers. Just watch the games vs the Pistons and the Hawks. I am very happy with his lack of effort and perenially lousy play. He even passed on stat-padding today with a potential triple-double to be taken.

I watched him like 3 games ago when his Celtics had an 8 pt lead and he let himself get his pocked picked twice, I forgot which team it was against but it sure looked suspicious. Boston blew an 8 pt lead in literally 30 seconds in the process.
