Some Love for the Marksman Kyle Korver

I know it's early, but he's on pace to have a historical season. The boys at ESPN won't even consider giving any Hawks player acknowledgement, so it's only fair we give him some love here. His shooting percentages are absolutely mind-boggling. In fact, they're so ridiculous I had to check multiple sites to make sure they're real.
If he keeps this up, he's not only beating the previous single-season 3PT% record he set as a member of the Jazz, he's becoming president of his one-man club -- the 50-50-90 club.
For the season: .522 FG%, .549 3PT% (2.9 Makes/Game), .959 FT%
Imagine him on the Warriors.

Wasn't that like 5 years ago? He isn't a liability on defense anymore... not as he used to be. And i bet you Bulls fans would love to still have him on your team right?

He's actually a stellar defensive player. I still understand your bitterness about losing him though.

It's insane, guy's literally making history, but he and his team are just not part of the ESPN club, so people don't care.
TS% of 74.7, simply crazy.

I would love to see Korver get voted into the all star game. The man deserves it with the shooting stats he puts up.

Korver's ability to match volume with the insane percentages he's been posting for quite some time now (years, as it happens) is essentially unprecedented in NBA history. He's not a first option guy, but he's a staggeringly useful offensive player and he just keeps doing it even though everyone and their mom knows the scouting report on him is to force him inside of 16 feet. You leave him open past 15, he will burn you with highly efficient shooting... and God forbid you leave him for an open 3 or he gets a swing pass in transition...
BOOM.
He's actually one of my favorite roleplayers.

Korver is awesome. 50-50-90 is ridiculous.
Too bad everyone on the Hawks pretty much doesn't exist to the outside world.

The Hawks have the best shooting team in the league right now. Nobody regularly getting minutes outside of Schroder can't hit a shot. Their starting lineup of Teague-Korver-Carroll-Millsap-Horford features 3 guys that are elite shooters for their position.

I still remember a whole bunch of cavs fans saying there's no way Korver is worth dion and that they didn't want him anyways because they already had miller. Makes me laugh

Yeah, I'd say if he's able to keep it above 50% with this type of volume, it would be the best three point shooting season of all-time.

He completely deserves all the respect that he is getting in this thread. He is so underrated as a basketball player in general.

Dude deserves a thread every week, just to remind people how valuable he is. His TS shows what a 3 point shooter can really do for a team.

Well, his current TS would shatter the league record, so it's definitely not the ordinary shooting season haha.

Wish he was still in Chicago. I like Dunleavy, but Korver is a better shooter.

He is a great shooter. Has been for years. Always appreciated what he does and like him as a player.
