http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2377772-nuggets-jusuf-nurkic-hands-ball-to-defender-after-he-flops-earns-technicalDon't see many rookies who show as much personality as this kid, especially non Americans. He has a world of talent and he also definitely seems like his personality will continue to be as entertaining as his game. One of the best reactions to a flop I have ever seen.

Flopping should get technical, what he did was fine imo.

I'm not sure that was entirely a flop, it looked like Nurkic lowered his shoulder a bit. Entertaining, regardless though.

He got the tech for touching the ball after scoring right?

Ref probably gave tech just because he saw Suns players were gonna rage

Once the league reviews the tape and presumably determines it to be a flop, they should rescind his technical.

Its a delay of game tech. Pretty easy call although I don't think the player gets fined because its considered a team foul. Assuming that this was a second delay of game, earning at tech.

How can it be a delay of game if the ref already blew the whistle?

it was a delay of game since he touched the ball after he made the basket.

players touch it after a basket all the time, many times passing it to the ref who then gives it to the other team. I think its the whole, Showing up another player thing.

Lol people really think that wasn't a flop? Get real, Morris weights 245+, he's not getting swept off of his feet from that sort of minor contact.

Yeah you can't throw the ball at or give the ball to another player from the other team. That's an easy tech.
Kieff may have embellished the contact, but that's what you do in the post when a guy lowers his shoulder. It's a savvy move that predates all this no contact flop crap.

Not this year. You can't touch the ball after a made basket. First touch is a warning, second touch is a tech.

I don't know about "savvy," this is the OG of flop moves, the kind of flop you'd see in HS ball all the time back in the day.
However this does highlight the most effective way to referee flops: swallow your whistle and force the flopper to live with his gamble. Knowing that your man is likely to score if you don't get the whistle is a far more effective deterrent than fining you pocket change weeks after the fact.

That would make sense if it was actually a made basket though. Since the whistle was already blown, it can't possibly be considered delay of game.
Guys shoot after the whistle all the time. In fact, on fast breaks: a guy is often fouled around half court and continues to dribble the length of the court for a dunk/layup after the whistle.
