Morris twins charged with felony assault

Saw on rotoworld. These are charges stemming from the incident in January when they allegedly assaulted someone for sending an inappropriate text to their mom. I would post a link but it's hard to do on my phone.
But damn....this could be really serious. First hearing is on May 7.

Hood, 36, told police he knows the twins from when he mentored them while they were growing up in Philadelphia and that he used to support them financially until they had a 'falling out'.
He told police he sent a text telling the twins' mother, Thomasine Morris, he'd 'always be there for her' and that another friend, Julius Kane, 25, saw the message and concluded their relationship was sexual in nature.
During the reported confrontation, Hood told police he was held down, punched in the head, kicked and then beaten to the point of unconsciousness after he was able to briefly escape.
Following the assault, witnesses told police they saw five subjects flee in a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

They had home games on the 23rd and 25th of January, so they were in Phoenix at the time. Still seems pretty odd.

Pay him off to he "can't recall" what happened to him that night. Going to cost seven figures each though, especially if he has them dead to nuts on the charge in Az.

It was reported they were "allegedly" involved and that an investigation would happen. Actual charges were not brought at that point

Ideally you shouldn't act like that (beating a person into unconsciousness) under any circumstance--billionaire or broke, but I see your point.

People think the Morris twins are great NBA team players? These two been acting up all year.
Do people say Cousins is a disgrace to the league? Seemed to me he squashed that perception last year.
