ATL in 5. The Hawks look like a 60 win team the last two games vs the Nets. All this rest for the Wiz hurts their playoff fire. The Hawks dominated the regular season series, I expect multiple blowouts in their favor.

7 game series. Hawks win, to the conference finals for the first time in their Atlanta history.

0-15 in the Conference Semifinals. History isn't on our side, but this team has already done a lot of unthinkable things this season. Hoping for 1-15.

A month ago, I was very confident about facing the Wizards, but they really impressed me in their dismantling of the Raptors. Should be very competitive.

Hawks shook off that terrible rust and finally look like themselves. I'll go with my team in 6.

Wiz in a tight, hard fought 7 games.

Wall is announcing himself.

If Atlanta play like they did in their last two games against BKN, I can't see anybody in the east beating them.

Having said that, we have the best player in this series along with more talent overall imo, so you never know.

I'm gonna say ATL in 7.

The Hawks are a phenomenal team. I can't imagine Atlanta losing this series.

Wizards take Game 1

Like TOR, ATL fans think their depth gives them the advantage, but in the playoffs, you only need 8 players unless their is an injury.

Wizard will shorten the rotation like they just did.

As for the season record. Its pretty meaningless. ATL only faced the current Wizards rotation one time this year in a game the Wizards won where ATL didn't start their starters.

This was also before they went to more Gooden and PP at S4
They will also match up Gooden at S5 if needed if ATL goes with Antic at S5
Plus Otto stepped up big as a 3 n D defender similar to a Trevor A

And the Wizards made 15 three balls in the last playoff game. They got up 24 three balls a game which was a lot more then the 17 per game in the regular season. Their series high in attempts was 29 and they made a lot of them. They shot .443 percent as a team.

The Wizards can now play both big and stretch. If you are expecting standard slow plodding Nene/Gortat all series, think again.

Tough call. Wizards struggle to stop Millsap and Scott, Millsap bounced back last night. I'd say Hawks in 7.

Wizards in 6 or Hawks in 7. Think I'm gonna go with the Wizards though, the experience of Pierce, and their bigs make me give them the advantage over Atlanta.

Holy crap, this is freaking amazing.

As much as I like the Hawks, I secretly want Pierce to decimate them.. so that the next picture is this series will have Pierce looking like Beastmaster adorning hawk feathers and dinosaur claws.

ATL lost round 1 in 7 games last year just like TOR did.

Interesting set up..

Wizards will be fresh and chomping at the bit. They will play max minutes to win Game 1. They will see that as the all important game. Win that and it changes everything. They have been nasty in the playoffs on the road the last two years. Win game 1 and its a one game series really.

I think I prefer the Wizards starting a series on the road.

Beal vs Korver
Otto or PP vs Carroll
Nene vs Milsap and if Milsap goes outside to much they will put Gooden or Hump on him and funnel him into Gortat
Gortat vs Horford

Sessions vs Schroder when Wall isn't in but Wall can go max minutes. Plus, Session is hitting 3s not and plays some with Wall.
Otto or PP vs Scott
Gooden vs Antic

Expect these kinds of minutes from the Wizards game 1
