They almost have to, don't they? I mean, he led them to 2 championships and four finals appearances.
That's considerably more than Michael Jordan did for them, and they retired his jersey.

I would hope, at some point, they will. I don't think Pat Riley will be a part of the organization at that time, though. I just think theirs some bad blood there. Silly if you ask me. They owe each other a lot imo.

They have to. He's the greatest Miami Heat player ever. That includes Dwyane Wade.

I would not say that. Wade did for Miami what Lebron could not do for Cleveland......

We didn't retire Shaq's. Next jersey up in the rafters is Haslem's. Then Wade.

They'd be dumb not to. 4 years of elite play, 2 MVPs, 2 rings. He didn't leave on the most ideal terms, but that was partly due to the situation ownership created for him.

I bet they do something similar to what the Sixers did with Moses Malone (No one has worn #2 in years, but its not in the rafters)

No. That would be Dwyane Wade - the best Heat player, ever. But LeBron might be the best player the Miami Heat have ever had.

What situation? Not cater to his every demand for his "boys"? That's now how the Miami Heat operate and never have.

Shaq brought 1, not 2, ships. And he wasn't Finals MVP.
If Miami retired Jordan's number, who never played for them, they damn well better retire LeBron's.

Amnestying Mike Miller to save $$$. Sends the wrong message after he took a paycut.

So they'd rather not cater to him and risk letting him go, to preserve the "Miami Heat way of life" rofl...

Not sure if that's the way the Heat org will ever do business - in the way it's being done in CLE.

It's too early for me to have an opinion, I DO think however we will honor him in some way in the future and that could include a Jersey Retirement........

Riley's earned the right to treat this situation however the hell he likes. If there really is bad blood there then 6 is never going up and I'm fine with that. Riley is the Heat. If the 6 does go up, it won't mean very much to anyone down here. He earned it in his brief time here, but he's in no way connected to the organization. Personally, I'd be happier seeing Glen Rice's #41 go up.

Nope. Haslem - Wade - Hassan - Winslow - My son - His son... not enough room up in the air.

Why isn't Malone up there anyways? He brought them a title and was a great player for them
