6 game west coast road trip with 3 sets of back-to-backs. While missing their backup guards. How does 4 games=9 or 10 games?

How many games we played out west in a row? I'm not defending us, just saying this schedule has been brutal so far.

No excuse losing to the worst team in the west, and one of the worst in the league.

They blow, a lot, apart from Reggie and Dre.
Also, saying Reggie has been horrible is basically straight-up inaccurate. He had two rough shooting nights, had a good game, then stumbled against the Lakers. That's a very far cry from being "terrible."

Counterpoint:
The 95-96 Bulls, who went on to win 72 games that year...
Lost to the expansion Raptors.
You want to try again?

They're not as good as their start indicated and not as bad as they've looked on this West Coast trip. Regression to the mean. They're going to be a .500 team, possibly a little above, and they are a .500 now. Started out great and regressed to the mean.

Address the post, not the poster. You should have learned this lesson by now.

They are a playoff team come April but not elite.
If you thought they were elite shame on you

Pistons will be fine. Road bumps early on in the season is nothing to freak out about.

I've heard this a few times and finally looked at the box for it:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199603240TOR.htmlTerrible shooting from Pip and 65 percent 3 point shooting from the Raps. Bulls bench got nothing outside of Kerr, while the Raps had Christie and Zan Tabak go for 13 and 12. Weird game man, weird game.

Was a good one. Was sitting in some pretty good seats to watch Jordan clank it at the end.
Pippen's shooting wasn't atypical for him. He had no J through the majority of his career. He did his Pippen thing, though. The lack of Rodman combined with Pip and Harper sucking to open the door. Tracy Murray went crazy (by his standards) and they couldn't stop Damon. Also, of all people, ZAN TABAK killed them off of our bench, as did Doug Christie. Jordan was hot, and despite our 4Q, they had a shot on the last play. Just didn't go.

Looking at the Pistons vs Lakers tonight:
http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400828038Pistons made more buckets 35 to 31, made 1 more 3 pter 7 to 6, rebs were even at 46, committed 6 less turnovers, but Lakers shot 39 FTA to the Pistons 15 despite the Pistons working more inside. It's difficult to outscore a team that gets 24 more freebies.

sixers started out 3-0 a few years back. Sample size is key, people should really wait until at least 15-20 games into the season before coming to rash conclusions

Really, though. The Pistons don't have a ton of depth and they don't really have any meaningful offensive talent not named Reggie Jackson or Andre Drummond playing at the moment. The lack of Jennings, even though he's not a hot talent either, clearly isn't working to their benefit.

Lol what does it matter if they are expansion.
What was their record when the bulls lost to them? was it anything as close to being as bad as 1-8 team?

Agree on Detroit (and I think I'm about the same age as you, so I'm old too

). Didn't see tonight but looks like Reggie was pretty bad for this game, so far this season he's about where I expected, he fits well w/ Drummond but the shooting is still just OK, his assists as expected aren't the crazy numbers we saw at the end of last year, and he can still play PnR really well. The issue like you sid isdepth, and to me lack of really any quality 4 (Ersan is not). Also, these losses coincide with Morris not playing like he had to start which was well above his previous career expectations.

Because expansion teams suck, obviously.
What was their record when the bulls lost to them?
I believe they were 17-45 at the time. They finished 21-62.
